Thoughts:

Myles looks GREAT.

Max Johnson is bigger (height-wise) than I originally thought. He also looks pretty polished as a freshman.

TJ still looks quite raw with his throwing motion and lower body.

AJ Aycock and Walker Kinney both looked pretty good as well. I genuinely think AJ could earn a scholly in the future.

Peter Parrish was absent from practice. Not a good look considering it's the first day.

Also, right before the 4-minute mark, the video shows running backs running routes out of the backfield, which I know is a concern after losing Clyde. Watch what Ensminger does after TDP drops a ball, great coaching.

side-note: you can see a player (I think it may be Marcel Brooks) in the background wearing a #9 jersey. I know some people thought the jersey wouldn't be used this year, so there ya go.

Ja'Marr in his #7 Jersey at Practice
Damn that looks great on him. Watch him after he drops a ball, doing push-ups.

More Team Drills
A bit of the same footage, but including LB and WR drills. Trey Palmer and Jontre Kirklin looking good, Marcel Brooks looking DAMN good.

Yeah, the ball really flies out of Brennan's hand. Saw Marcel in a drill, the dude is going to be a stud.

agreed. Myles has one of the prettiest throwing motions I've seen in a long time. In his limited pass attempts as a freshman, you could tell he was trying to strong-arm everything and neglected to use his lower body. Thanks to Coach Moffitt and his staff, Myles put on a great amount of lower-body muscle and really drives the ball with his whole body. Such a huge improvement, and even something as simple as throws on air has me ecstatic for this season.

officially absent from today's practice. if he's a no-show the next practice too... then I think you can assume the situation.

Dang. Hate to hear that. Hope he makes a good decision.

Might be reaching but if he’s transferring, I’m going to assume it’s due to a positive emergence of Max Johnson. If your Parrish, you have to feel good about your future as the second string redshirt freshman. The only thing that would deter that is if a true freshman came in and made a big impression.

Any chance Myles might be a tier above Burrow?

Brennan looks great. Johnson looks good. I didn’t realize he was a lefty.

Honestly, Finley looked the worst of the group, as far as accuracy is concerned in that drill. The walkons were more accurate.

It’s just one drill and probably doesn’t mean much.

No dude, there is absolutely no chance. Burrow is the lone occupant of his tier which sits at the very top.

I think it's very likely that Brennan will be better than statistically the greatest QB in college football history the very next season after that quarterback graduates when Brennan has never started a game in his career.

VERY LIKELY

McMath may have a monster season with teams keying on Chase & Marshall.

Not a bold prediction, but I see it coming.

TJ will be fine. He just needs to develop. Not all QBs will be Joe Burrow as a 18 year old freshman. Hell Joe Burrow wasn't even Joe Burrow as a freshman.

The video in the OP. Finley missed the entire net on one throw and didn’t hit the target a single time.

Which one did you watch?

You can tell Myles is an upper classman in that video. I think he’s going to have a great year as long as our O-Line comes together
