Corona virus question

How is it South Korea is testing like 10k a people a day for Corona virus but the US can't event do a half of that for total testing. I ask because people are coming to work coughing and shite. They should be home not spreading what ever they have

Because sufficient testing in the US would cause the number of confirmed cases to skyrocket, which could lead to economic panic and mass hysteria

I agree..its very likely widespread with mild symptoms and mass testing would cause panic....it won't help to mass test at this point.

I don't know why you got a lot of down votes.
It's a legit question. One I can't answer because I also wonder why. I do know the CDC flubbed this up big time. I also know a lot of other countries look to these US as an example. Right now, we look incompetent because the CDC sent out test kits with a contaminated negative control. So that Def set us back.
I would visit the Corona virus thread on this same page. Ask the same question. And see what others are saying and reporting.

Actually, North Korea is one of the few places that could out last an apocalyptic virus as there is minimal travel to and from the country.

It’s easy to shine when you send the 82nd airborne into a shithole country and take over. We can’t get out of our own way stateside and unlikely to ever change. Too proud to allow other countries to help, even if they have something better to offer.
