This is always said, but compare LA last season to this season..

Maybe Lebron made some difference, but coaching still makes alot

You don't think AD had anything to do with that?

"Tough to judge them given Lebron is largely thought as being the reason for the success."

Okay. I can say that Lebron was a young "once in a generation talent," but the team won 57, 51, and 50 games under Blatt and Lue.

So if we give all the credit to Lebron and no one else; isn't it the Pelicans that have Zion, Ingram?

Just saying.

No... AD's style of basketball does not translate to winning (as evidenced by his time here)

You can look at his +10ish with Lebron on the court and -5 with him off

Wait we’re really going to pretend that Lue and Blatt aren’t terrible head coaches because Lebron carried them to some wins?

If you want to go back to when he was VP of Ops in Cleveland his head coaches were Byron Scott, Mike Brown (after he had already been fired there), Blatt, Lue, Gentry. If you think that’s anything other than pathetic I don’t know what to tell you.

Well, thankfully it is not our decision. It will be Griffin's decision. But to say all problems are or are not a direct correlation to what coach you have, then that doesn't hold water either.

All I know is Lue was a tireless worker and the teams he coached played well. Gentry was a negotiated pawn that Griffin took on whether it was his decision or not.

To be honest, I don't know who will be the next coach. I really don't care who that coach will be. I will defer to Griffin and his expertise to make as thorough and extensive a search as is necessary to find a coach, that hopefully, gets us 50 or more wins a year with a championship or two sprinkled in.

His what? In a couple months no head coach that worked for Griff over the last decade will have a head coaching job. In a league that loves retreads. That makes him an expert?

All I see is your mouth moving and nothing coming out. Yes, Griffin is "The guy" when it comes to all things basketball related to the New Orleans Pelicans.

If you are so adamant that Griffin is not our guy, or all coaches are not good, and we are destined to be a bad team in perpetuity; I don't agree with that. If you do think this is right and that Griffin is not the person to steer this ship, then you need to find another team to try and bring down with your drivel.

That's certainly an apples to apples comparison....

The only thing that may bring“premium hires”
to N.O. is a lot of money.

What do y’all think about David Fizdale? I originally liked him a lot in Memphis, but that eventually went downhill. I don’t blame anyone for not being able to survive NYK right now

Hell no awful coach.

I trust Griff for the Most part but he has done an objectively poor job of hiring HCs. I would say well “maybe he’s learned his lessons”....

But he retained Gentry. I’m not sure he will make a great hire.

You clearly have no idea how to contextualize advanced splits. All you showed is that Lebron is much better than whoever replaces him when he sits. That's shocking to nobody who has heard of Lebron James
