He worked with Alvin, but I’m sure he’s ready to make a change. Who are some guys he’s worked with that may be candidates? SIAP

Gentry is his guy. I know he was here before, but in every interview i saw him do early and preseason he talked about how well they worked together in phoenix and that gentry was the guy for the future of the pels.

I think if we make the playoffs, griff will keep him, and that worries me

I like Gentry as a man and person, but we can do so much better from a X’s and O’s standpoint.

Yeah pretty much. We aren’t making the playoffs.

Lol. So that is good that Gentry is now a stress reliever. I agree, no worry now.

Although, the playoffs hopes are pretty much over, I would like to see Zion continue with his 20ppg until the end of season, it would give me something to root for. And maybe bench Me'tuan, give run to youngins'.

You would think that the coaches that are deemed as premium hires will be lining up to get a chance at coaching such a talented young team. I am certain that Griffin has a master plan. That plan will not include Coach Gentry. I am pleased that Gentry came in and worked hard. Hard work is not enough anymore. A good coach is needed.

My only concern with Gentry being fired is losing Vinson.

Fred was here before Gentry joined the team. I’m sure the future coach will be happy to retain him.

I think there are a few talented coaches on our staff: Finch, Bzdelik, Vinson, McMillan.

Vinson has gotten a lot of praise for his ability to coach up scoring. He worked with AD, he really helped Zo. McMillan works hard too. He was shown teaching Zion the steps to work on to incorporate the Eurostep to his repertoire.

Depends on who our next HC will be on whether Vinson or McMillan are retained.

Bzdelik is hard for me to assess. The defense at times has been above average. Of late, not so much.

Finch was touted as the perfect coach to teach bigs. He was supposed to make AD and Boogie a working force in the association for years to come. We have moved on from that model. So what does he bring?

Anyone have an idea about Finch or Bzdelik?

Gentry decision making is terrible. Nicole scores a 3 with seconds left in the game for the tie, and never touch the ball in overtime. How does he justify playing Frank Jackson the whole ot period. It is time for Uncle Al to go

probably because BI fouled out and Melli was struggling on both ends of the court all game. Frank shot decently last night

I was surprised at how he played Moore and Jackson (with Hart I think) together for half of the 4th quarter while BI and Ball sat.

If you are talking about David Griffin:

David Blatt was hired by Chris Grant/David Griffin for '14/'15 season. Blatt was 53-29. Blatt in '15/'16 was 30-11 when Lebron decided to fire him.

Ty Lue hired by David Griffin '15/'16 was 27-14. In '16/17 season was 51-31; in '17/'18 he was 50-32; in 2019 was 0-6 before being fired by Koby Altman.

Oh, and Lue won a championship.

Tough to judge them given Lebron is largely thought as being the reason for the success.
