My boss told a colleague to stop saying “no problem.”

Mind is blown on this one. My buddy scan emailed a document for our boss. After boss man thanked him, he said no problem and my boss lost it, saying that is an unacceptable expression. He continued to say that insinuates that there was a problem in the past with something. Nobody said anything but it was extremely weird

Your boss is weird and thinks way too into that phrase.

It’s weirder to me to say “you’re welcome”. It’s more casual to say “no problem”.

Boss is right. Same as when people say, “To be honest,” so were you lying about everything else?

Boss have a service industry background? It’s a common rule of thumb in serving customers to not use the phrase.

Every now and then you get a real numbnuts that has a problem with "No problem" and really loses their shite over it for some odd reason.

There is a problem. Namely that the boss is technologically incompetent in that he requires someone to simply scan a document and attach to email.

I get like the boss man at times if I take too much Adderall. I become super technical and disgusted by everything.

I can’t imagine him losing it over the phrase, but you’re welcome is much more appropriate.
