YOU DON'T HAVE TO. THAT POSTER IS WRONG.
I didn't get out the bed until 7 and got a super low boarding group.

Bad advice is really a problem.

Now honestly today was the first miserable crowded day we've dealt with.
I was there on Thanksgiving and Christmas in Land the year before. This was the most packed ive ever seen. I waited a half hour to ride the people mover and the Carousel of progress had half full theaters.
Every ride was at least an hour. ..
So bad Tortuga Tavern was open, and look at there slow area of Tomorrowland.

Today was a HORRIBLE day for a first timer. Mardi Gras used to not be so bad. I would never go Mardi Gras again. Especially when there marathon is the weekend before.

This has been the worst I have ever seen crowds this time of year. It’s so bad, tomorrow, we are canceling our Disney plans and heading to Sea World. Might head over to LEGO land Thursday.

As for Star Wars, we rode it Saturday. Got to the park at 7:35. Opened the app at 7:59. Secured Boarding Group 32 within the first minute and we were on and done by 12pm. Rope dropped rock n roll and used our slinky dog and tower FP before our group was called. We left the park after Star Wars. Frick all those crowds.

Because the ride is very unreliable so far. One day it'll do 140 groups, the next 75.
We got in the second time and the car behind us couldn't shut their doors. Luckily we're just had to go behind the scenes and get in another loading area.
. I bet the employees love it, the only area they can act mean to employees.
I like how your transport gets captured and you go in the large hanger, and then there detention cells.
Also each vehicle has a slightly different ride. There are two Finn animatronics, each vehicle can only see one. There first (red blue) vehicle is better. Gets shot at by the ATAT and sees most things first.

The way they break you out the cell is really cool. I also like how every blaster hit destroys there set around you.

It was bad. I was Solo on Saturday and had a great time because I didn't care.
Bought some stuff and did the boring rides I like.
Today only reason we stayed is because we made fast passes for today for Peter Pan and Mine train. We never ride those normally.
Did get on space mountain alpha twice and once on Omega. Never realized it was different.

I went in 13 and 16 for Mardi Gras, wasn't that bad. Today was really bad.
From 10am to 4pm it was 60-175 minutes for the rides. Goofy was 75 minutes.

After 4 it started to clear

I bet that line is stupid long even with fast passes.

That’s easily a 2.5 hour wait

No. The boarding group replaces the standby line.
When they call your group, you just go get on. You walk through the line queue but you don't stop until you get to there preshow. I don't know about those with higher numbers, but both times we went after our group was called we were on ther ride in less than ten minutes. And that's only because the physical queue is so long to walk through.
You don't get called then wait in line.

Also once your get your boarding number you can do whatever until you're called. Go back to resort. stay and ride rides. There boarding pass holds your position, there is no actual waiting in line.

Ask who? . Star wars land changed things at park.
Days they expect to be packed are dead, days that are usually dead are packed. Used to be July and August were the busiest months that weren't holidays. Everyone saying it's been like summer every month since October.

Also I was there for a function that included a package. I had no choice.

No one mentioned the construction ruining the experience too. Epcot is half torn down while its redone. The front of Magic Kingdom is torn up too.
It messes up access and makes entry exit take longer.

One tip I learned. You can uber to every park except magic kingdom, because you have to go through ther transportation center.

Well, YOU CAN Uber/Lyft to and from the Contemporary resort. It's a really short walk to the park and has by far the shortest bag check line.

It was between 7 and 11 per ride, but you could avoid the buses.

Lastly, scooters are out of control. I saw a lady with one leg on crutches moving well throughout the park, another obese 70 something walking around with two canes. Then I saw women and men younger than me on scooters only because they are fat.
Some with real disability push themselves because they don't want to be stuck in a scooter. Others just are lazy.

Scooters and strollers are all over. The rental strollers hurt like hell when they hit your Achilles too.

Why would disney make a ride where you don’t have to be in the park to ride? That seems like a terrible idea on their part. Clearly they are trying new things. I guess that’s their current fast pass system also.

I ultimately think they will work back to the original fast pass where everyone gets 1 fast pass, you use it, then you get one more at a time. The current system is a complete cluster as far as line control.

Disney likes it because they use it as a perk for on site guests. But maybe they can go to 2 fast passes for on site and one for off site.

You have to be here with your entire party to try and get a reservation. Yes you can then leave, but now I can enjoy slinky dog with my kids, tower of terror, make our lunch reservations, and return when my group is up.

Mardi Gras is a moving date annually. Anytime it’s really early it’s not a bad time to go but anytime close to Presidents’ Day it’s gonna be bad. September is about the only slow time anymore. Even January was packed this year.

Avatar is almost a 4 hour wait before 10am right now.
