Why aren't people a little more freaked out about this Corona Virus?

Hurr-durrr....Influenza kills 30,000-70,000 Americans in a given calendar year.
Right now, the death rate for this Wuhan flu appears to be at least 2-3%. It might be as high as 10-15%. It could be even higher. We don't know yet because the thing is just starting, and its mostly in China, where they aren't honest about anything.
The death rate in the US for influenza is below .001%, meaning fewer than 1 in 1000 people who contract influenza die from it.
If 60,000,000 Americans contract this Wuhan virus (comparable to how many get influenza in a given year) you are talking about MILLIONS of deaths.
This ain't the flu. I'm surprised more people aren't freaking out about it. It's scary shite.

Trump adminstrarion just banned almost all travel to China earlier today if I'm not mistaken.

Was just saying to my wife 10 minutes ago that this impeachment has completely distracted everyone from the Wu Flu. Until we see accurate numbers from China, there’s no telling how bad this thing actually is. I saw some tweets earlier today that said some scientists studying the virus structure have found parts of the HIV virus in it which seems crazy. I’d love to know if that’s actually legit or not.

This is objectively not true.
There are already seven confirmed cases in the United States, and many more suspected cases. Nobody diagnosed in the U.S. has recovered yet.

The news media is totally obsessed with the hatred of trump. That's all that matters. If some country launched a nuclear missile, it would get 3 minutes, then back to trump. Just sickness.

Those people been eating the arse end out of Mother Nature since before Buddha sat under a tree. If something ain’t killed them off by now, it never will.

because its not a killer
a few weak people in poor health died from it but far less then die from the regular flu
its only scary in that its hard to detect so its spreading fast so lots of people are gonna get sick from it but its not like thousands are dying from it

if you have not stocked up on a 60 day supply of rice and beans, over the counter expectorants, vitamin c. it may be too late. try buying the simple face masks, they are pretty much sold out
notice the 600 point drop in the stock market. Monday is supposed to be bad as china opens trading for the first time in several weeks
