If you aren’t able to win at least a million, get out.

I haven't been on a game show. I know people who tested for Jeopardy.
However, my cousin was on daytime WoF before the days of cheap VCRs. At the time, I was a student at LSU.
I skipped a French test and told the instructor ahead of time that it was a family thing I had to attend.
I would love to be on WoF but I'd probably get the bankrupt.

This. I’ve done some research, and it’s not the gameshow that’s the problem, it’s all the future obligations you have to commit to years after the show and your participation is over. They told me today I’m a finalist.

No, obstacles and a little white ball.

I invented the “No whammies” prayer.
What would you like to know?

This is a cool interview with the lady with the lowest score in the history of Jeopardy (-$6,800).
She talks about her experience, plus how a bunch of the contestants and trivia nuts hang out online, etc.

A few years ago a girl I know went on The Price is Right and won the showcase — a trip to Italy. She loved it so much, she became a travel blogger and actually got some nice sponsored trips while she was doing that.

There was a poster here a few years ago that was on Wheel of Fortune. He showed up the day it was airing and posted the answers to most of the puzzles.
I watched the show with my wife and she was losing it when I kept “guessing” the puzzles after the first letter.

Classmate brought our math teacher on some special edition week of wheel of fortune and racked up. Bunch of cash and a car that she wrecked soon after. I think it was a Dodge Avenger.
Bobby from Bag of Donuts was on Millionaire and bowed out at around $250k or so. I remember the question was something about what is a mortabello. Bought their new RV with the winnings.

My wife coached a girl who went on that yearly week of collegiate WOF. The athlete ended up advancing to the end ands won a car. They gave her several options to cover the taxes and she took the cash instead of the car. She won two trips and quite a bit of money.
If the show has been named I have no clue how ABC does things. If you baws want to see a completely fricked up "game show" contracts just to move to finalist, take a look at CBS. Survivor has luckily been in a few lawsuits which have put their releases and contracts (including the main one signed by those on the island) into the public domain. Big Brother is really screwed up and has what should be an unenforceable decade+ NDA. For final casting they pt everyone in a hotel, make them workout/swim, ands pt ot decoys...if you get caught saying one word outside of casting interviews you're DQed.

I haven't but Im an acquaintance of a guy through some of my friends that was on deal or no deal recently (last year or two) who won like 700k. He cleared all the small cases except $5 and took a deal with around 3 or 4 cases left. Turned out he had the $5 case.

Buddy of mine is a legit chef and restaurant owner. He went out for Top Chef and got picked. Was supposed to fly back up for filming in a couple of months after the audition. He mentioned something about it to me at his place one evening and an employee overheard us and put it on FaceBook. Somehow the producers found out and pulled his invite. He even had to send back the personalized Chefs Jacket. Really sucked for him as it would have been a huge boost for his restaurants.

There were two New Orleans area chefs who got DQ’d from Top Chef before they ever got started. Knocked out for talking/posting about their selection.

Does “We play Baton Rouge “count, I still have the sponge brick
I made it to the final audition for wheel of fortune, but did not make it
Pretty sure A guy I know will be on Alone (or something similar) next season, but he won’t say, if he is on it , he can’t be beat
