Everyone knows about Duke's Cameron Crazies, Kentucky's "Big Blue Nation," the sheer massiveness of the Carrier Dome, but what are some lesser-known and/or mid-majors that have a great arena and/or a great environment for college basketball?

I've heard great things about Butler. What about some others? Arkansas? Missouri? BYU?

Wichita St usually packs the house. Grew up going to their games back in the 90s.

I've been to probably 40 arenas and Bud Walton was the best environment. Been to the Dean Dome, Rupp, Pauley, Hinkle, etc. but haven't been to Duke. Going to KU on Saturday.

Have heard good things about Iowa State and Hilton Magic but the game I went to there Tennessee beat them by 25+ a couple years ago so didn't get to see it at its best.

Xavier was sneaky good imo.

I don’t think I’d call Hinkle Field house “lesser know”

Prime UNLV was a crazy atmosphere. I saw games when Tark was there, and it was packed, and lights out intros were unusual then.

I wish I could have seen a game in Oregon's old MacArthur Court.

Wisconsin has a really underrated home environment.

The two I hear about are the Pit for the University of New Mexico and the Palestra in Philadelphia.

I believe the Palestra is technically only the home arena of UPenn but the other Philly schools play non conference games (La Salle, Temple, Villanova, and St. Joseph’s).
