Sounds like more of a replacement of the would-be Frank Wilson hire in recruiting

Little nervous about maintaining the system with just E

I don't really know if I agree. I love him as a staff member because I think he's a great WR coach, and great recruiter (or at least he used to be).

But, this position is meant for a real tactician. Johnson has been around a long time, and I don't think he's ever been a coordinator. I'm not seeing it.

It might indicate that Ensminger is very comfortable with his knowledge of the system and is looking for someone to implement with the WRs successfully.

Honestly I wish Ensminger would step down, make Munoz Oc, and Curtis Johnson passing game coordinator

This is literally the same argument as E. Just because you “know” the system doesn’t mean you’re innovative and can make the necessary changes on the fly.

I don’t like this potential hire at all.

Didn’t he fail spectacularly at Tulane?

Good thing we are not hiring him as a head coach.

Most TD members seem to hate it so it’s probably a home run.

I respectfully disagree.

This feels more like Sullivan than Brady.

I find it concerning that he is 60 years old and, aside from a bad 4 year tenure at Tulane, has never been anything more than a WR coach in 35 years of coaching.

Nobody has been able to shite with Ted Ginn Jr, only reason he’s done anything is because of his speed.

What offensive plays has he ever called? What’s his offensive philosophy?

This is the equivalent of us promoting Raymond to Co-Dc.

He’s a great recruiter and position coach but he’s been in the system.

Sounds really familiar doesn’t it.

I’ve always wanted Curtis Johnson on staff. Would soften the blow of missing out on Frank Wilson, but I’m not sure about him replacing Joe Brady...

Agree.

Great for WR development/coaching and possibly recruiting - but Brady also brought the ability to design plays and exploit defenses in real time.

Should just hire Pete Carmichael as co-offensive coordinator or something. Wonder how much the Saints are paying him.

I'm kidding. But I do wonder what they're paying Curtis Johnson though.

He’s a good recruiter and WR coach but this would be a major fail.

Dude is not even close to the level of Brady in terms of intelligence. His offenses at Tulane were not great and got better the next year under Fritz with the same players.

Major step back in terms of X and Os. Plus in recruiting.

Mickey Joseph wouldn't have anything left to do if Curtis still recruits.
