Mickey Joseph wouldn't have anything left to do if Curtis still recruits.
Must be why he turned down Nebraska, about to have a pretty sweet gig here as our Milton

Feet propped up on the Karr coach's desk all week

Brady was delivering coffee and was a glorified gopher for sean peyton. What makes you think an actual saints coach wouldn't be able to contribute in some capacity.

Johnson would be a great Joseph replacement. Brady? Umm not so much

Lol. Brady’s attention to detail & preparation & learning capacity is in another stratosphere from Curtis Johnson

Would've been better if you just admitted you don't know what you're talking about at all:
quote:
One of his responsibilities was meeting up with Payton to to study a weekly game film cut-up of scoring plays from around the league, taking notes on which playcalls were giving NFL defenses fits.
Brady used that exposure to build his own playbook of sorts, sampling innovative formations and personnel groupings from the Saints as well as their NFL opponents — and what he’d seen in college at Penn State.

This is another "old guard" hire.
I don't understand. O just saw what happened when he went with young and innovative. Aranda was already here for him, another young and innovative coach.
He's going right back to his previous tendencies of hiring older coaches without an upwards career trajectory.
We could get any rising star that we want right now. Just have to go look for them.

NFL teams (and most colleges) have actual assistants do this shite.
They don’t hire coaches to do anything besides coach. This is the BS preseason narrative.

He is clearly a great WRs coach.
Is he a great PGC? At 58 he’s never heard any coordinator title.

Neither had Brady.

No.... he couldn't even fail spectacularly.

And there is only a 30 year difference in age.
If you haven’t been looked at to be a PGC by 58 it’s not because you are an unknown.
By age 58 Brady will hve not only been a college PGC but an NFL OC.
Again, replacing him with a 30 year WR Coach is at best questionable.

...and was obviously a hidden gem. You aren't saying that you think anyone around Sean Payton would be good enough for this job, are you?

Tulane's national ranks in total offense under Johnson -

When you have the Price brothers on staff you should expect such greatness.

Think yall are being unrealistic with your hopes for a new PGC and WR coach. No other team in CFB history had as much input and progress /w a PGC as LSU did this season. Curtis Johnson would be a great hire by pretty much any normal standard. Obviously an elite WR coach and elite recruiter while also having tons of experience /w the Saints offense.
You guys are wanting some kid who got coffee for Brady for 1 year over this guy?

They want to keep the same system. What better way to do that the hire someone who works for the Saints, who run the same system?
After the year they had, why the hell would they bring in an outside OC who runs a totally different system?

An optimistic view of this is as follows:
* Munoz is the guy who fits the position best...and contributed a hell of a lot more to this past season than anyone knows
* Orgeron thinks that he doesn't need to move Munoz into an on field position, because he was so successful last year particularly with his development of Burrow
* This "Passing Coordinator" position, as a result, now becomes more about taking the vision of the offense from Munoz and Ensminger and implementing it...particularly with the WRs. If viewed with that lens, Johnson is probabaly the single best candidate for the position in the world.
* Munoz takes the QB development. Cregg takes the OL.
* Munoz gets a big raise to be a behind the scenes "analyst".
This becomes a sustainable model because nobody is going to hire Curtis Johnson as an OC.

Did they change the rules and analysts can interact with players now?
I read a few weeks ago that Burrow credited Munoz with his development, but I remember a few years ago when McMahon and Sullivan were analysts a lot was made about them having to coach the coaches and not the actual players.
