Youtube is getting pretty bad

"Recommended" videos populate the homepage, and while they apply to topics I'm interested in, I'm rarely interested in the individual videos.
Also, the autoplay used to generally stick to videos from whoever posted the vid that I was watching. Or at least would jump to a similar video from someone that I was subscribed to. Now it tries to jump to similar subjects from mainstream sites.

They changed setting recently and I hate it, I watched 1 fricking video on Owen Hart death and now it recommends me 40 fricking wrestling videos.

Whatever you do, don't watch a Kitchen Nightmares or anything with Gordon Ramsey. That's all you'll see for weeks. They prefer that commercial network money to some dummy you and 400 other people subscribe to.

I hate new the interface where I can’t skip forward unless I make it full screen

iPhone. It doesn’t have the 15 second button to skip forward or backward unless you make it full screen. I’m not using the app just doing it off safari

yeah that's one thing i was coming to say. when they tweaked their algorithm it SUPER weighed recently viewed videos
also, as OP said, it's suggesting corporate videos. i imagine this is for revenue but also for political reasons

The WORST thing is if I play a playlist of anything, 2 songs play and then a 2:30 commercial! Wtf? I can skip it within 10 seconds but I have to hit the button. PITA

For those who have used YouTube since its inception, the current interface is almost unusable.
Ads ads ads, then when you don’t get normal ads, you get YouTube ads. You switch apps to respond to a text? Get pestered to buy YouTube premium. Start a video? Get asked to do a YouTube survey.

i can't use YT on any mobile/streaming device b/c of the ads. i'm way too spoiled on my computer w adblock

I've had a premium account for quite a while now because I had Google Play Music, now YouTube Music.
Th UI and suggestions are getting especially bad even without all of the ads. I find myself scrolling 2-3 pages to find a video or two I'm kind-of interested in.

I'm shocked they let us get away with this.
It is hard to pop youtube on my bedroom tv at night. Going from no advertisements to loaded with them is painful.

I skip forward on iphone all the time... Just double-tap on the right side of the screen and it will jump 10 seconds

I've gotten used to my Youtube music app as well.
