Never confuse a symptom as a problem. Perhaps if the unions, in conjunction with the dems, had not made it virtually impossible to produce a decent product.....companies would not have gone looking for alternative options.

Oh could I tell stories about the POS Teamsters who ruined companies and people's lives.

Never confuse a symptom as a problem, teamsters are a miniscule headache compared to outsourcing.

Would rather cut back all welfare programs to eliminate able bodied citizens from sitting in their govt provided hammock all day.

Then deport all non-citizens immediately - and open up merit-based immigration legally = put in your job requirements to the 'merit' determination.

Purge the voter rolls nationally - require re-registration with proof of citizenship and residency - and a photo or biometrical ID.

Enforce the voter laws at the polls rigorously - enlist the National Guard if necessary to check IDs for those in line to vote.

Then pay the wage commensurate with the job you have to attract the qualified employees you need.

There are already plenty of illegals here, if you want them, but you will have to pay them enough to lure them away from their dishwashing and chicken plant jobs.

Another tip, focus on the ones that aren't married to fat unemployed U.S. wives, who have 4 anchor babies and draw plenty of GVT. checks. It's hard to compete with that.

That's a big part of the problem too, if 2 illegals cross the border, 1 of them is going to hook up with the first fat desperate American girl, that he runs into, knock her up, then they got free money flowing in forever. They got it figured out before they even get here. Or at least by the 2nd time they get here. So your desire for cheap immigrant labor, creates a burden for everybody else. Step up to the plate, and do what it takes, to hire a good tax paying citizen. All of us will be better off.

To be fair, we don’t need more immigrants, we need to get rid of welfare, curb charities and buckle down for the brief crime wave. Then Americans will go to work.

Yep. People used to be motivated to work by cold and hunger. We’ve become such a prosperous country those fears are nonexistent.

YES - especially in Destin FL where this is a resort town and nobody who needs to work locally lives here. It’s brutal. Right now I’m offering $30.00/hour and don’t even drug screen anymore. I don’t even care about background checks anymore. I’ve had maybe 6 people apply that worked in the hospitality industry that I simply can’t use

It’s brutally bad to find good help

Rofl it's Destin, the locals are either military or burn outs. Spent 16 years living there and it never changes, the quality kids who come out of those schools move to places with more job prospects than serving drinks to tourists.

I’m in sales and talk with business owners regularly. Whenever we discuss what theirs biggest challenges are outside of what I’m there for, it is ALWAYS finding good and qualified people to come to work.

This can be fixed via the destruction of the entitlement programs in this country. Force these people to work.

Same for our business. It's getting close to impossible to find functional workers.

Not necessarily true, but you damn sure have to weed through a bunch before you find one that isn't.

Here come the downvotes!

It's basic economics that the jingoists on this board think they can ignore. Labor is a production input. You CAN NOT GROW THE ECONOMY without more labor input. You can't do it. The unemployment rate can not go down any further. Those people are NOT going to work, ever.

We need to make it easier for people to come here legally and work. It would be a huge boost to our economy.

For $600 and the cost of a hotel room or two, my baws from BR will drive out to Destin and entertain the crap outta y’all. Granted, I’m sure that venues out there won’t pay it, so we won’t play it.
