Business owners: Are you having hard time finding employees?

This passed year n more have been frustrating. Subcontractors don’t have enough to man jobs. Temp agencies send thugs and druggies. I have many more projects planned but lack manpower. I’m pro-Trump, but we need immigrants ASAP. I’m sorry. Americans are spoiled, addicted, and too lazy.

Biggest problem for the company was finding people that could pass the piss test for lower level jobs. Money wasn't that bad either. Neither was the work and environment. Weed was just more important to them than the job.

Unless these immigrants are skilled at hydraulics and controls, and are willing to live in snow, they are of no use.
Now, if a couple of them want to come up to this culinary wasteland and start a decent Mexican restaurant, I’m willing to look the other way on the paperwork.

YES - especially in Destin FL where this is a resort town and nobody who needs to work locally lives here. It’s brutal. Right now I’m offering $30.00/hour and don’t even drug screen anymore. I don’t even care about background checks anymore. I’ve had maybe 6 people apply that worked in the hospitality industry that I simply can’t use

There are plenty of people who “could” work but won’t because the welfare state has destroyed their incentive. I’m all for legal immigrants but we need to get the folks off welfare and into the workforce before we go all in on that route.
They could definitely learn to work again if forced, but sadly none of our politicians will speak the truth and cut entitlements.
