Bernie on the tv at some rally spewing this
Heard it said by warren in a debate few weeks ago
Do these people really not think there is a fundamental difference between k-12 and higher education?

There shouldn't be. K-12 should be free market like college. Can't afford? Teach your kid at home or don't have one.

Of course they don't .... But it's how you get more socialists... After all they own academia

Yes and kids graduate high school with very little real world knowledge.
No critical thinking, but memorization.
No balancing checkbook, but x+y=z
No learning about taxes, except that we had a tea party back in the day

Have you not see some of these parents? Education is pretty low on their list of priorities. Also, ability to make a financial decision regarding if/when to to have children seems out of their realm of capabilities.
If K-12 wasn’t required by law, a certain segment of our population probably wouldn’t even bother.
Well, maybe only because it gets them out of the house for a bit.

Our society improves as the population becomes healthier and more educated.

In a free society why is that my responsibility?

Uh, no. It’s not.
These people are unreal.

why shouldn't education be free - especially since most white collar jobs require a 4-year degree?
Most only require a four year degree because so many people have a four year degree. It’s a diluted market. Making it more diluted isn’t going to help.

Making college free wouldn’t expand the amount of people who would attend college.
America has a higher degree rate than most European nations
We give ample loans to kids who come from poor families
There is not a student in America who can’t attend college because of cost

College is free in La. now if you make the grades.

Is a high school diploma worth much anymore? There’s your answer

And watch society dissolve into chaos over the coarse of a generation. Extremely shortsighted thinking all because you think it will save you some taxes.

Making higher education “free” is an unsustainable proposition. Look at the way costs skyrocketed when the FedGov inserted itself into the student loan racket.
It’d be the educational equivalent of going from ObamaCare to single payer.

. Everyone going to college for useless degrees does nothing to help improve society
That doesn't mean I support the way it's funded though?

I've got three kids in school and it's not free! I know we spend hundreds if not thousands per kid each year. 500 for dance team 300 for soccer team 300 to play football. And hundreds for books and room suplies.

Several thousand gender/ethnic studies graduates a year actually hurts society because they make up shite if there aren't enough problems. They can't do anything else.
