College football isn’t the same anymore. I know we lost to Alabama in 2011 but we would have had to play them anyway with the way the system is set up now. College football doesn’t need a playoff system. The playoff committee is a joke. Side note: LSU beats Clemson by 45. GEAUX Tigahs

BCS also said after we killed OU in NC game that we were tied with #3 USC....so there's that.

Agree. Playoffs do not guarantee a true champion and they dilute the relevance of other bowls

WTF are you bitching about? The committee nailed it this year. They had three undefeated P5 teams, and they seeded them perfectly. They had to let one pretender in, and they probably picked the right one. The four team playoff is the perfect thing for college football, imo. If you expanded it to eight you’d be letting in four more shitty teams that would be blown out by the LSU/Clemson/Ohio States of that particular year. We didn’t need Baylor, Oregon, Florida and Georgia in the playoffs this year.
And if we changed it to a computer selection process, or expanded it to eight teams, DhanTigers212 would surely be complaining about THAT.

Under the BCS an undefeated team would have been left out. Probably the defending Champs. This is the type of season the playoff was meant for and shows why 4, is the prefect #.

The BCS was complete garbage. Clemson would be left out this year under that 'system'.
It also robbed us of an LSU vs USC epic matchup in 2003. I know everyone here hates the 2003 split, but it helped get us the 4 team playoff.

This year is perfect for a 4 team playoff. It is just like 2003 when USC got left out. Don’t know about you, but I would have loved to settle that debate on the field.
What if we beat OSU in a close game this year in a BCS championship and Clemson destroyed Oklahoma in the Orange or Fiesta? There would be plenty of people claiming that Clemson was the real champ especially as an undefeated defending champ.
