Who's running for Governor in 2023?

Obviously Bill Nungesser for the Republicans.
But who for the Democrats?
I imagine Billy is not going to be the only Republican running because he's a RINO and this is a pretty wanted job.
I also imagine the Democrats aren't going to throw up another JBE type candidate because of all the outrage over abortion. I think they look at Kentucky who has a pro-choice governor and think we're more liberal than them, let's put a regular democrat.

It won't matter, nothing will ever change in Louisiana.

Jeff Landry is going to declare sometime on 2022 with close to $6 million in the bank, and that will all but end the race.
Billy might stay in, but it won't go well for him.

Is Lt Governor a term limited office?
I know Governor is but most other statewide office like Treasurer, SecState, etc, are not.

Graves?
As awful as this sounds, I think him not graduating from college is an electability issue.
It shouldn't, but you know it's true.

Add Rep Mike Johnson to the list
Maybe Treasurer Schroder, but probably not.

In Arkansas we are going to have a tough choice in 2022 between electing Sarah Sanders, one of the deepest Trump allies in Earth, or a long tenured Repub. Lt. Gov. who is active military reserve and served overseas while in the state legislature. Whomever the republican primary winner is will get 65-70% of the general vote.
Every major elected office in the state is red and Trump won by nearly 30 pts.
Meanwhile, in Louisiana, the state with similar demographics, more resources, and a similar culture (at least north or Alexandria) just elected a blue gov for the second time when his government was actually the only one in the whole fricking country not growing.
I'm sorry to my forms south if the Natural State, but I don't think yall can be helped...

I've heard Jeff Landry is almost a certainty to run.
Billy may have moved to "iffy". Apparently his no-name opponent who bought 0 adds getting 30% of the vote scared him a little.
I would vote for Graves in an instant but I don't think he's well-known enough outside the Baton Rouge area.

Doesn't matter who
What matters is who they identify with.
D=Demon/Devil
R=Right or Righteous

If you want to see real incompetence in operation....you want Jeff Landry. Choosing between him and lil Billy is like choosing between killing yoursrlf with a shotgun in your mouth or a bazooka aimed at your temple.
Garrett Graves is a pretty smart guy, but don't rule out Scalise especially ifthe Repubs don't retake the House in 2022

It could be a rock with an R scratched on it and that's what I would vote for.
