Merry Christmas also ...

Doesn’t anyone remember that Joe went to a specialist in California

There is a guy out West that teaches lower body motion technique to set hips perfectly that generates incredibly increased throwing velocities... Forget the guys name and kudos to anyone who has it to share ... Joe credited his improvement on this gent for technique to increase his velocity and arm strength ...

Which "Dude" was a top 10 pick in the NFL draft?

Haskins wasn't.

It was pathetic what those idiots were here all day everyday trying to do. It was as if they were being paid to set a narrative and it was starting to work. It’s completely dead now thank goodness. They’ve finally been exposed for what they are, just some no life having, low life living O haters.

I couldn’t stand those guys. I would chime in every once in a while but it got so old that I just simply let time do the talking and it has. They just seem like total idiots now when they try to come spew their hate for this coach. They hate that he’s made them like like ignorant fools. It’s come full circle on them. Freakn absolute gold. They got exactly what they deserved.

Burrow is a Beast!!! A Tiger for Life!!! Just watched one of his season highlights around 15 min in length and it was the best by far. Amazing what he and this team have done this year. It’s crazy and will be forever remembered, just historic locally, regionally, nationally and even around the world. Nuts man!!!

And now they are searching for narratives to explain WHY they face-planted on forecasting Burrow for the '19 season.

AND, they are saying Burrow will not do well at Cincy... an even DUMBER take than before. IMO!

Frick Urban Meyer

He’s the incompetent idiot who couldn’t get the most out of a record setting Heisman trophy winning QB
and goes on record with this BS?

Double Frick Urban Meyer

None of that comports with what other people are saying about him. Literally every other coach has said he has had the physical tools all along, but he didn't get a fair shake until LSU.

What a shock that the guy who let a Heisman winner get away said his skills were undeveloped until he got to LSU.

I think you can watch film of last year and this side by side and see how much the accuracy improved here from last year to this one.

Probably that same guy Brandon Harris went to as well. That guy raved about Harris' NFL arm. Unfortunately it didn't translate on the field.

So Mr. Football in Ohio lacked all the physical characteristics of a good QB?

Why do so many here have to act like victims?

That's not what he's saying. He's essentially saying he was a raw high school QB that has developed into an elite one. And he's saying LSU, a noted QB graveyard, was crucial to that development.

Sometimes it’s under thrown purposely. I’m not in the huddle so it’s hard to judge which are and which aren’t called that way.

I am riding the Burreaux train. However, I personally believe that his accuracy isn't better than Tua. There were a lot of occasions when he either overthrew or under threw the deep balls this season. But Chase is just so dominant that he would overpower the DB to take possession of the ball. On the other hand, look at Tua's deep balls. E.g., the two deep balls that Devonta hauled for 2 TDs vs. us could not have been thrown any better. Burrow's accuracy in a tight window is extremely good, however, he will have to develop the ability to not over/under throw because the DBs in the league are going to be as good if not better than the receivers.

So, I guess that's why Joe is on the threshold of breaking the NCAA record for a single season pass accuracy?

I call BS. Burrow threw for 10,000 yards in high school. Was his arm strength as good as it needed to be probably not. Was his accuracy where it needed to be or is now. Probably not. He was a freshman.

Matter of degrees.

The Ohio State QBs of that time Braxton Miller and JT Barrett certainly did not have accuracy either.

Maybe Haskins did but he was on the bench for a year as well.

If Burrow does not break his hand he most likely would have been the Ohio State starter last year.

Does not matter now

What I see from last season is a stone-age passing game with minimal choices, and a WR room that was coached in 50 year-old techniques.

Does anyone have a LINK to the Urban Meyer comments OP described? Or where and when these comments were made?

Burrow and Barrett briefly visited House in 2016.

Burrow throws extreme heat ONLY when absolutely necessary. He's a "touch" passer. Like Unitas, Montana, Brady, and Brees. "Touch" is one of the main reasons Burrow broke the All-Time regular-season NCAA pass completion percentage record this season... not a 2-day visit to a QB guru 3 years ago.

Absolutely! ANY head coach guru who prides himself on the superiority of his own mastery takes this as a hard kick in the gut -- I let a Heisman-winning QB get away from me. Ouch.

On a cable tv show previewing the CFB Playoff games. Matt Leinart and one other guy was on the show. I can assure you that my recollection of the three points of arm strength, quick release and accuracy are absolutely exactly what Urban said about Joe's development. These were specific and particular insights he mentioned and I remember exactly every point he made.

Urban demonstrated a drill in which the coach kneels by a stack of many footballs, softly under-hand tosses them to the QB and the drill is that the QB throws each football as quickly as he can get it out of his hands.
