He said that when Joe arrived at Ohio State, Joe lacked:

1) arm strength
2) quick release
3) accuracy

Then Urban said that Joe developed the first two at OSU and didn't develop the accuracy until LSU developed him.

I did not yell at the TV because I wasn't sure whether Urban was right or not.

One story he told about Joe at OSU was an arm strength drill he put Joe on during a practice game. Coach Urban told him "Joe I want you to throw each pass as hard as you can at your receiver, I don't care if you are zero for 20 attempts." Reason: develop his arm strength.

Just thought I'd pass it along. Merry Christmas.

So Mr. Football in Ohio lacked all the physical characteristics of a good QB?

TIL Urban Meyer is responsible for 2/3 of Joe Burrow's success.

Yeah well herbie called this game and noted joes accuracy in mop up duty as a freshman. He states how his passes were on the money every pass. Urban mustve been having a spell during this performance?

I just looked back at his recruiting profile to see how he stacked up. That HS QB class is insane. Burrow, Kyler Murray, J Stidham, Sam Darnold, Lamar Jackson, Josh Rosen, Drew Lock,

I was born and raised in baton rouge my whole life, die hard LSU fan. And you are delusional as frick. And Matt Moscona is not a hater hes realistic, and your not. LSU will be lucky to win 7-8 games. And will get stomped by bama. I love my tigers but I'm in touch with reality of things to come. Watch and see, your gonna be crying all season. Joe alleva should have gotten Jimbo Fisher when he had the chance, but no he wanted to be cheap. Now we are stuck with a defensive line coach as our head coach. Your in for a rude awakening. And it just might happen this Sunday.

Hidden is the improvement and coaching of Steve Ensminger with Joe. They worked on fundamentals, foot work, and finding the open receiver quicker downfield. Remember, Joe didn’t have a lot of playing time at Ohio State and Steve did a great job improving his overall game.

No he’s saying he didn’t have elite levels of those. That he developed them. He’s also giving LSU credit for developing his accuracy which is pretty cool

There were a lot of those posts on here. Sad in so many ways. Same fricks are bitching about this recruiting class now. Know nothing douches...

Shitt. OSU would be on a 3 year Natty streak if they started Joe. Their fans know it.

I am riding the Burreaux train. However, I personally believe that his accuracy isn't better than Tua. There were a lot of occasions when he either overthrew or under threw the deep balls this season. But Chase is just so dominant that he would overpower the DB to take possession of the ball. On the other hand, look at Tua's deep balls. E.g., the two deep balls that Devonta hauled for 2 TDs vs. us could not have been thrown any better. Burrow's accuracy in a tight window is extremely good, however, he will have to develop the ability to not over/under throw because the DBs in the league are going to be as good if not better than the receivers.

Joe said at the beginning of the year he felt like his accuracy improved because all spring and summer he focused on his footwork inferring that footwork is were accuracy starts.

Exactly.

Burrow also said that he got his footwork back to where it was in high school. He said he lost a lot of his pocket footwork by sitting on the bench for 3 years at Ohio State.

Meyer WORSHIPS the Heisman. It is recruiting gold. Meyer will never get over the fact that he let a Heisman winner get away - and kept the also-ran.
