No. Feel free to do that if you want to.

I'm not the one sitting here yelling about a guy being an idiot for thinking a guy who is clearly one of the best QBs in the country might be better than another guy who is clearly one of the best QBs in the country.

I personally think Joe is better this year. But IT'S NOT OUTLANDISH TO LIKE LAWRENCE MORE.

Oh, you PERSONALLY do? Nevermind that EVERY SINGLE STAT LINE & WIN is better than ANYTHING Lawrence has done in 2019.

I said this yesterday and was accused on hating on LSU.

Sadly we live in an outrage culture, where a lot of people are just looking for something to be outraged over and they only see things in either or terms and can't accept that maybe both are damn good, they are likely to be the #1 pick in the next 2 drafts. Burrow has clearly had the better season statistically, that's why he will and deserves to win the Heisman but Lawrence is a great player.

Yesterday Orlovsky said there's no QB in NCAA playing better than Lawrence.

Yeah I saw that, and I thought that was ridiculous. Completely ridiculous.

My statement was simply that the only legit argument here is based on the natty that Lawrence has. I don't know what their h2h stats were last year. Burrow is blowing it up this year. So it seems like it's a wash to me. Are both QB's studs? Yes. The problem is, Clemson is going to have Lawrence for another year or two. So he's either going to get better, or remain really good. He could possibly blow Joe's stats out of the water. Who knows?

We all need to realize that there are good players on other teams too.

If we were clemson fans we would think our guy was just as good, considering he has a ring and a 94 qbr combined in the 2 playoff games .

He started this season a bit slow but since that NC game, he really has been playing as good as anyone, but against the softest conference I've ever seen as a group.

Literally all of the acc teams are down ,besides Clemson.

But y'all act like every other qb is trash but burrow

Trying to figure out why this is bothering people so much.

you know why.....It's because someone dared to say something about an LSU player.

Had Orlovsky said this last year, not one person would have disagreed with him.

I mean, this is one guy's opinion. And not a very outlandish one at that.

Which one has more completions?
Which one has a higher completion percentage?
Which one has more TD passes?
Which one has fewer interceptions?

Which one has put up these numbers against better competition?

So yeah, it is an outlandish opinion.

The argument is not whether there are good players on other teams. The argument is that TL is better than Joe Burrow at this moment.

That statement is inarguably false. The stats bear it out. The quality of competition bears it out. There is no objective measure by which one could say TL is better than Burrow.

Lawrence is a great QB, elite QB who will go #1 in 2021 probably, however, the segment was 100% right here...

Lawrence was the RUNAWAY favorite for the heisman this year by most people, he had such an incredible freshman year people thought he would unstoppable. He played basically nobody all season playing in a CCG against a #24 4-loss UVA team this year and had a very good, but not elite season.

Lawrence flat out looked human early on against GT, A&M and UNC. He had passer ratings of 118.8, 136.6 and 128.7 in those games. These are not very good ratings. Compare that to Burrow who played 4 Top 13 teams this season and his lowest 3 passer ratings were 143.5 (AU), 185.2 (Utah St) and 185.6 (UGA).

Burrow's WORST passer rating in a game this season was better than Lawrence's worst THREE games. Two of those games were against flat out bad teams (UNC, GT).

Lawrence had a very good season overall, no doubt, but Burrow has been MUCH better against much better teams overall and that's not really debatable. So saying Lawrence is playing better than any QB in the country this year is just laughable. It's a stupid opinion based on the facts.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Burrow's 2019 is better than Lawrence's 2019. Well except Orlovsky.

But there is one stat that Lawrence has on Joe. 1 Natty where he absolutely shredded Bama. Joe got Bama back this year, but Joe was shut the frick out at home by Bama. You guys are glossing over a very pedestrian 2018 that Joe Burrow had.

What would Burrow's stats look like if Joe Brady was on staff last year?

For a very long time discussing which QB was “better” has not been exclusively about stats.

So if we look at intangibles like:
Pocket awareness
Decision making
Ability to perform under duress
Leadership
Preparedness
Mobility

I would say Burrow equals or exceeds Lawrence.
Lawrence would lead in arm strength and overall physical attributes being 6'5. But Burrow is a prototypical size at 6'4 216 and although he may not have a rocket arm he has shown the ability to throw with touch and accuracy.

Lawrence is a freak QB. One of the highest rated all time out of HS. He will be a great NFL QB. That being said, I have rarely seen a QB or even CFB player that current and former coaches and players just absolutely love and that was even before his success this year. He's a competitor and teammate that makes everyone else better and you can't teach that.
