Drove a Ford fusion into the ground 250k in 5 years.

Loved mine after I put a 310HP 350 out of a '70 Cutlass S in it.
With 2.29 gears that thing ate up the interstate out in MT.
To the OP, get an Impala. Nice big car, good mileage and reliability.

Hyundai anything in that year range is well in budget. Pretty techy cars; Sonata or Elantra 100k mile warranty too.

Why do you need another car after you replace transmission?

Toyota Avalon for the win. Not sure if that year would be in your price range but you can't go wrong even with a earlier model.
Had a Avalon that lasted over 325,000 miles. Great car.

You’re welcomed in advance

I drive an Accord and it’s the most expensive vehicle I’ve ever owned. Paid $25k and I will drive it for 10-12 years.

Wut. You have put 1.3 mil miles on your last 3 cars?

I’ve put 160k on a 15 Altima no problems thus far

If you got 225k out of a CVT consider yourself lucky. We had an 07 Altima and got 75k out of the original transmission
I had an Altima and a Maxima. I got over 175k with both. I know many others. They are great cars.

Ford Fusion. You can get a loaded out 18-19 for 20k.

My 2010 is getting close to 200k. Still looks and drives great.

I drove a 97 Camry V6 between 2009 and 2016. Surprisingly quick, and invisible to cops.

We are in LA now through the holidays but I have a picture from earlier this year when I changed the tranny fluid.

Less than that since none were bought new but over 1m. Those cars are only driven for work travel as well. I've slowed down now but 70k a year used to be normal.
