I agree with the OP. This committee was not good at their job. Bama drops 7 spots for losing on a missed field goal at Auburn but the committee refuses to punish Cincinnati for losing to Memphis...twice.

So I’m assuming that they just threw the lower rankings together because their job was the top 4? Otherwise, yes. That poll is fricking ridiculous.

Remember, this isn't like the silly media polls, where a loser automatically drops a few spots. The committee looks at much more than that, and it's a complete body of work ranking, not a silly week-to-week ranking.
And why in the world are we still bitching about the committee? They ranked us no. 1 in the only one of their rankings that matters -- the final one.
Move the hell on.
