My kids had 1. No pads or net.
You and the misses can have some midnight fun on it when the kids are asleep just do it during a new moon and avoid the full moon

My kids loved theirs. But put a net up. Ours was under a tree and was a great place to nap or read a book.

Do you want a pit full of snakes? Because this is how you get a pit full of snakes.

Grandson been having one for the last 5 years and still uses it all the time. It's not a cheap one. It's for adults. Reason as to why is still works. SIL and daughter also use it too for work outs.

just be careful about letting the neighbor’s kids come jump on it so you don’t leave yourself exposed for liability that insurance likely wouldn’t cover.
This is why I wouldn't get one and my middle child told me "mom you are the only parent who uses the word liability "

yeah, follow the directions is key.
I put two together in my life. first one took all day and I almost killed myself.
second one I read the directions and took about 2 hours, which included my "testing the springs" time

Guess you will not buy them a bike. Get those kids outside. Yes, shite happens.

Yup. I think I spent more time sleeping on our trampoline than I did jumping. I also broke my sister's arm in two places landing on her, so be careful.

Down the street my daughter and her little cousin were playing on a neighbors trampoline.
She landed wrong and broke her little ankle.
I had to carry her back to our house and wait for her mom to come get her.
Poor baby already had her back broken and insides shredded in a car accident just over a year ago.
They're probably fun but I would caution against it. There are plenty of other outdoor exercise activities that are less risky.

I work in trauma and I refuse to purchase one for my kids if that tells you anything.

It’s good exercise, just get the one with the security net.
The more expensive models from Sam’s last longer. We just got rid of ours that we bought in 2007.

most policies(or HOAs) just require you have a fence. Nothing major otherwise. Trampolines are more American than apple pie. Get your kids a fricking trampoline .

Can any of you baws give your experiences with trampolines for your kids?
Springs and safety nets can be an absolute bitch. Make sure you use a vice grip for pulling the springs and not that worthless spring pulling tool they include. The only thing the spring puller is good for is blisters, cuts, and frustration.

Do it!! My brother got one for his kids last Christmas and is the neighborhood sensation. All the kids in the neighborhood loves it and are always over there jumping on the thing. He loves it

You will be short one bolt that you must have to complete the assembly. Your wife, in wine-fueled rage at 2:30 AM on 12/25, will believe you lost it and you will have to fabricate the connection with an extra bolt you had left-over from the last ceiling fan you installed, a coat-hanger and some needle-nose pliers, but that said, I am convinced that there is kid on the packing-line somewhere in China saying "me Chinese, me play joke"

Invest in the corkscrew anchors if you do get one. My kids had one for about 8 years. I've seen 3 neighbors lose their trampolines in high winds using different anchor systems in that time.
My take on a trampoline is that it is nothing more than an obstacle to mow around. The kids grow tired of it quickly

Just get em a rescued pit bull

I had one growing up and my kids have one now (although the one we have now is more like a medium sized one instead of one of the huge ones). It's in the backyard so no one sees it and the kids love it. It gets them out of the house and away from the TV, so it's worth far more than the stupid obsession with being "trashy" this board has.

Best thing that ever happened was a storm came through and deposited it in the middle of the neighborhood lake. Moving that fricker Everytime you have to cut grass sucks
