I think trampolines are just behind above-ground pools and parking on grass in the hierarchy of ‘trashy yard’ implements.

But...daddy loves his little girl (6yo) and it’s really the only thing she wants from Santa. A couple of her friends have them and she loves to go jump. So I guess Santa will bring one.

Can any of you baws give your experiences with trampolines for your kids?

Put it on the patio and you’re good to go

If you buy one without pads and nets your daughter will grow up to be a success in life. If not she will be a stripper.

Put it on the roof. That way you don't have to mow around it.

It’s an outdoor activity and great exercise. I have owned two in the past.

My daughter loves hers. Be a good dad and go on and get it for her, you’ll thank yourself after you see how much fun she’ll have on it.

Terrible way to approach life

Get your kid a trampoline. It's great exercise and gets em out of the house

I put one together on Christmas eve in the dark. My parents wanted me to go to AA the next day. I didn't need help with the drinking. Get help with the trampoline.

I did that with my buddy as kids.

He ended up getting 12 stitches in his scalp after hitting the backboard.

Exactly how kids should grow up... break a few bones, scrape yourself up... just don't die, and you'll be better for it

Too many helicopter parents that freak out at a little scrape or cut and shelter their kids from awesome times

Go on... be the cool dad... and when your buddies are over, take a crack at it like old times

Talk to your insurance provider first.

Trampoline exclusion: If your policy states that trampolines are excluded from your homeowners insurance coverage, your policy would not provide protection for trampoline-related claims.
