It really doesn’t. You probably eat a shitty diet.

35 or so. I can still eat like shite if I get a fair amount of exercise though.

This doesn’t happen.

For me it was about 40

you mean at what age do you slow down?
Posted on 12/2/19 at 8:44 am to BossBailey345
Its gradual but I noticed in my 60s. Stop eating greasy and sweet foods near bedtime. Tums, Tums, Tums.

Yes, I'm 30 and can eat like a horse

Around age 55. At age 60 you really begin to notice your body changing...more sore and achy and you lose 10 yards off the tee. Life is good!

Around 30, but then another noticible hit at 40.
Now I have to exercise, cardio almost everyday and eat well to keep from gaining weight. It sucks.

Around 29, which coincidentally is when my first was born.

Around 30. I have never had big fluctuations in my weight, but after 30 I can definitely see a difference this time a year when I eat and drink whatever I please. It goes straight to my gut.

25ish...really crawling at 31
I was a 6'2" string bean until then and I ate/drank whatever I wanted. Now I just look at a cupcake and my belt gets tighter.

This doesn’t happen like people think it happens. Stop being fat.

Metabolism certainly slows down in a linear fashion with age. However, the deterioration can be lessened with healthy habits such as diet and exercise.
This is what most people mean when they talk about longevity. It isn’t just about living for as long as possible; it’s about maintaining a healthy body into old age.
No 30 or 40 year old man should be lamenting their slow metabolism, low energy, and weight gain. If that’s really a problem, it’s more indicative of spending years with unhealthy habits that have led to an unhealthy body.

Oh nevermind, I thought you asked when I quit performing any physical activity.
