Heading with the family for the first time next week and staying in Times Square. What’s the best Pizza place to hit up?

I always like to go to New York little bit early and hit some of my favorite hunts, my favorite New York pizza joint. Sbarro

Joe's Pizza is a classic go-to. There's better pizza but Joe's is quintessential NY pizza.

Just stay away from almost anything near your hotel. Times Square is the tourist trap located in the biggest tourist destination in the world. For the most part the restaurants and food there is awful. Venture out just a little.

John's on Bleecker and Bleecker St Pizza are good and in a cool area. If you are going with females, both of these places are about a 2 minute walk from where Taylor Swift lived/wrote a song about. There's a never ending stream of young women posing for pictures in front of her old place. Really cool neighborhood with other fun things to do/see.
Patsy's up in East Harlem is fantastic. Make sure you go to this location. The one on 2nd Ave is good, but this one is better.
Lombardi's on Spring Street claims to be America's first pizzeria or something. It's pretty good and is in an interesting area. Rubirosa is right around the corner and I think their pies are slightly better. It tends to be more crowded because people love instagramming the food there.
All of these places are easily accessible from the various subway lines.

There is a Johns pizza in Times Square. It’s in an old church and really cool. My wife worked AND LIVED in Manhattan years ago and we go to johns every time we visit.

My favorite place for a slice.
Also recommend rubirosa for a sit down meal.

You are staying near Times Square - Go to John's which is a couple of blocks from there. Delicious pizza baked in a wood burning oven in a cool looking building that used to be a church.

Johns Pizza
If you don’t go to Juniors for a piece of Strawberry Pie, may a thousand fleas eat your scrotum. One of the best decisions I have ever made.

Do yourself a favor and download the One Bite app. It’s nothing but pizza reviews from Dave P (Barstool) and users of the app. It’s got a map feature that will help you gameplan given how spread out things are.

Johns is going to be the runaway winner in suggestions. My favorite pizza I’ve had in NYC was at Angelo’s. The crust on that pizza was the best I’ve ever had. It is a sample size of one, so I don’t know if it is always as good. It is located right next door to the Late Show Theater.

This was our favorite. Just felt like NYC. Johns on Bleeker was great as well
FYI look up a pizza tour. My sister did it last summer and loved it. It’s a lifelong NYC pizza snob and he takes you to 4 of the OG places and you get a slice and beer at each
