This is nuts.

If Alabama had our exact season, they would not be #2 right now.

Pauly Howard on VSIN's 'Follow the Money', and also Circa Sportsbook Director Mike Palm on Gil Alexander's 'It's a Numbers Game', we're both apoplectic over LSU falling to #2,

Mitch says he knows someone that has worked in industry, that stated to him the commitee are all bought and paid for, and will toe the party line agenda. Palm, one of the sharper numbers makers and bettors in LV, said LSU has played the better schedule to date, and has the quality wins..he was aghast..and he's a Midwesterner.

Let's hope Moscona's thinking an ATM and UGa win springboard LSU back to the top.

LSU has beaten current #5 Bama on the road, #11 Florida at home, and #15 Auburn at home. OSU has beaten current #10 Penn State at home, #12 Wisconsin at home, and #19 Cincinnati at home. Now who has the better wins?

The committee are all frauds tainted by politics and money. They control the narrative and use no rhyme or reason. Its digusting we let them destroy college football

This movement smells like the committee wants to position LSU so if they lose to GA they can justify moving Bama up & LSU out of the playoffs

Many of us would have no issue if LSU gets the #1 seed, you guys have played some solid teams. To act like texas is a top 10 team though is a joke..

Well the argument was that Ohio State just beat the #6 team. That would be false using your logic, they aren't #6 anymore nor did they even look like a top 10 team.

I stopped right there. There is no excuse or defense for them even existing.

Surely you can’t believe going to Austin & winning in front of 100K is no better than beating a Group of 5 team at home.

Nobody’s that stupid. I can assure you no one outside the state of Ohio takes the Cincinnati football program seriously.

Hold on now, these people on the committee have full time jobs, do you expect them to put in the effort to "back up their decisions with metrics or hard data"? Much easier to take the advice of OSU butt munchers

The only person that has gained more on them dropping LSU is PF. Even he said that. Its hyperbole.

Of course not. Not only would they be #1, they would have Alabama's second team #2.

It’s you who are off base here, not the committee. Your complaint that they can’t defend their decision is based on your mistaken opinion that there is an algorithm in effect. There is not. There is one deciding factor: where does the committee think each team should be ranked. The guy defended the committee perfectly and completely by saying each week we evaluate the teams, and in our opinion Ohio State is the better team. There is nothing else, and there should not be anything else. This is the way college football has been for all of its existence except for a few BCS years.

Why is this surprising to anyone? I honestly don't know why this is surprising. The playoff committee took a broke system to select two teams, broke it even worse and expanded the field from two to four.

Very little was done to address the regular season, less transparency was instilled in the selection process and people thought it was a good time to use that fricked up system for more teams.

The fact is, people wanted a playoff. They didn't care what kind of playoff, what it looked like or if anyone addressed the real issues....just give me a playoff and give it to me now.

Congrats...here's your playoff. You're welcome.

I wish Finebaum would answer why before we played Alabama he said if Alabama loses they are out.. done and then they moment they lose he starts lobbying for them to be in.

You don’t need him to explain it; I’ll do it. Finebaum is a media guy whose compensation is proportionate to how many viewers/listeners he has. Therefore his aim is to be controversial. He is not at all like Albert Einstein, whose aim was to be accurate and get to the truth.

Callahan, You remind me of a couple of draftsmen I used to sit near. One day they were arguing about two “Pro wrestlers”. You know, one insisting that Matt the Missile could destroy Giant Joe or some such. After hearing them go on for a while I asked them if they realized all of that was fake. They did! But they sort of embarrassingly conceded that. In fact, although they knew it was fake, they had suspended their disbelief, and they were off running in this alternate universe when I interrupted and called them back to reality. That’s you, Callahan. You surely know that Finebaum is motivated by audience capture, and that he’ll change his narrative constantly to get traffic, but you willfully forget that so you can participate in the drama.
