Pressured Tua into having 2 unnecessary surgeries on his ankles, one last year one a few weeks ago. Then trots him out there to run for his life on one leg, and when he gets crushed by 600 pounds of humans and his hip collapses he gets irritated when people ask him about it. "We should have blocked them better. shrugs - Too Bad." (Tough shite)

His ankles would have healed just fine, but not in the time frame that the University wanted them to. Tua would have been a lock high level draft pick if he would have told Saban, you know coach, I'm ok. I'm gonna let my body heal on its own and I'll just sit until I'm healthy.

But we all know what a shite storm Saban would have if he heard that from Tua. I think about 30 minutes of screaming right in his face describes it correctly.

If you read about what his injury is and what he has to go through for the next YEAR of recovery, its just criminal what Saban did to that young man. All in the name of making his 8 million dollar salary. Tua may never WALK again, much less play football. Draft this year? Forget it. I hope his little brother and family see what Saban did to Tua and get the hell out of there.

Have you even watched the footage of Saban talking to the huddle, and Tua telling him he wanted to stay in.

And of course, the injury was not to his ankle. It was a completely new injury.

He'll be fine, and some NFL team will pay him well,

even after he gets injured in preseason.

I’m not taking a side in this argument, but to say this is a new injury is disingenuous. The musculoskeletal system is connected. It’s common knowledge that overexerting when injured causes new injuries.

It’s very common in those with ankle and knee problems to develop major hip issues due to overcompensating and also using muscles in ways that you’re not used to.

Edit for typo

Saban is a selfish person, he was at LSU and has not changed his strips. He always talks about accountability of players then throws everyone under a bus when the shot hits the fan. That has always been his MO. Tua played because LSU shite on his fair well parade and he was trying to get style points to make a case for the committee and it blew up in his face.

Tua bears zero responsibility for putting his own body at risk?

Numb nuts, Tua was medically cleared by the team doctor to play. Saban asked Tua if he wanted to play and the kid said YES.

If you’re gonna blame coaches for jeopardizing a players health, you do realize Joe played with a separated shoulder last year. Should Orgeron have sat him on the bench to prevent further injury? This time of year, no players are 100% ... Delpit is a prime example.

All the people bitching and crying about Saban letting Tua play are the same ones the bitched, cried, and said Fournette quit on the team a few years ago when he had a hurt ankle.

And let’s not forget everyone who criticized greedy Williams for sitting out of a bowl game so he wouldn’t get hurt

What we did last Sat. is what will get Saban out of football...losing. At some point, most legendary coaches stay too long and losing tarnishes their legacy. I don't think Saban will let that happen. He has looked liked crap physically this season. He sees the end coming and I believe he knows how and maybe even when it will happen.

Sucks for the kid, but nobody could’ve seen this kind of freak injury coming. Sure, it seems like he should have been pulled in hindsight, but almost every starting QB in the country (ours included) would have still been out on the field with a big first half lead and came out after halftime. Alabama’s OL was more at fault for that injury than Nick Saban was.

Its just not that simple. Players are young and trust the coaches and team doctors. Players will always tell you they want to play. Thats football.

What do you think would happen when the Alabama team doctor tells the coaches "we should let this kid heal a few more weeks" They get a new doctor. That's what happens when millions and millions of dollars are at stake.

If you don't know how these things work you have never worked for a large organization with lots of money at stake. The money always makes the decisions. You think they're gonna let a 22 year old kid make a decision that risks millions of dollars? He was gonna play no matter what if they thought it would end up making them money. They don't give a shite about Tua.
