I don’t know why this is complicated for y’all. OP is just asking who has a stronger arm.
OK - what are the measurable we are going to compare??
Line them up and see who can throw the farthest??
And then say the guy who tossed it 77 yds in the air is obviously 'better' than the one who only tossed it 74 yds??
Is THAT what this OP is about???
if so WHO THE HELL CARES!!!

It is NOT merely a simple comparison
Actually, it is.
You take it to a completely unnecessary level.

So, if you have a Hyundai Accent that you drive 100 mph on country roads... and I have a Ferrari Enzo that I chose to drive 50 mph on country roads...
That means your Hyundai has a stronger engine, right?

90% of quarterbacking is 50% mental.

Anyone have any idea? Please keep this discussion solely on focused on strength of their arm/throwing talent
I have no idea and obviously Burrow is the better QB.
Like a pitcher who can throw a 99 mph fastball but cannot find the strike zone and does not have a slider and curve ball. We can talk all day about his good arm and never win a championship or title.
Now no where did i say Brennan is a bad QB, it is just we have not seen him enough in this system throwing the ball.
Poise in the pocket, finding open receivers, checking down to the 2nd or 3rd receiver, stepping into the pocket, scrambling, knowing when and how to get rid of the ball, avoiding a drive ending sack and running a QB draw are all things that Burrow has seemed to steady improved upon and almost mastered in his two short years at LSU. Brennan may equal or improve over Burrow, for sure no one knew 3 seasons ago that Burrow as a 5th year senior would be a leading candidate for best player of the year
Me personally would have liked to see Brennan in 3rd quarter mop up duty slinging the ball around but our defense has allowed a few teams to keep it close enough that we needed Burrow in pretty much the entire game.
Putting points on the board with 6 minutes left in the game with a 2nd string QB lacks class

Burrow is on course to set the all-time record for completion percentage - in the history of college football - and dudes want to talk about how hard a QB throws a ball...
Or maybe LSU fans are curious about the future or our offense once Burrow leaves?
This is an LSU board, not a Joe Burrow board.
ETA: You're running around here saying people are shitting on Joe Burrow, but how about the idea that you're shitting on Myles Brennan's talent? Stop bashing our future QB.

you don't think ball velocity is an important characteristic of being a qb at the top of the collegiate level and beyond? why are you so fricking butt hurt about a question? if i asked a question if Emery was faster than CEH, would you go on a fricking tirade about how non important it is to be fast as a running back and give me all the reasons why CEH is such a better overall back? stop acting like a bitch, you're making this board appear weak and feable.

Brennan probably has the better arm strength but very few QB's can read the defense under immense pass rush pressure and putt the ball in such a tight window like Burrow

The fuq does this even mean? Im simply saying MB throws the ball TOO HARD most of the time. He also misses open throws a lot which IMO is a problem.

I didn't read this thread but I don't believe that anyone thinks Brennan is or will be on the level of Burrow. He left some huge shoes for any QB to try to fill. We will be in good hands if Brennan can come anywhere close. Also Burrow has very good arm strength, easily NFL arm strength, but Brennan may have the stronger arm, not that that is the most important aspect of being a good QB or any where close to being the most important aspect

if Burrow and Brennan were to decide to have a friendly competition to see who could throw the ball the farthest, both are going to throw it a long way. I think Brennan might would edge out Burrow, but it really doesn't matter and has nothing to do with their ability as QB's.
I'm just hoping Brennan has learned some things after two years of watching and practicing with Burrow and that Brennan turns out to be a pretty good QB in his own right and that the team continues to roll next season.

No way Brennan has a stronger arm than Burrow. He just throws harder. There's a big difference between "stronger arm" and "throws harder".

it means that people in this thread act like they already know the totality of what brennan is and is to become in the rest of his career already.
what we know about myles brennan's intangibles etc is yet to be written.

Can you post a link that disproves it? Even if you think that coaches and Burrow himself are lying, anyone with eyes can see that Brennan’s arm is stronger than Burrows.
Okay, you moronic genius. Seeing is believing. Post a link that proves the garbage you are claiming with nothing whatsoever to substantiate your garbage. As for as me posting a link to prove it, I didn't say that MB has a stronger arm than an inevitable Heisman winner. You dumb Rant morons did.

I'm convinced at this point it's one of his brothers or something. It's the only explanation I can come up with for taking a post comparing 2 QBs' arm strength and making it out to be a personal attack on Burrow and all the other similar posts I have read.

Well then...who has the stronger legs?...the best eye sight?...the quickest release?.....desicion making? I can go on and on forever. Point being....the topic has very limited value in comparing the 2 QBs.
