man who identifies himself as an instructor at the University of California-Berkeley publicly proclaimed Wednesday that Americans who live in rural areas are “bad people” who deserve “uncomfortable” lives.

Jackson Kernion, who describes himself as a Graduate Student Instructor at Berkeley, having taught at least 11 philosophy courses at the university since 2013, took to Twitter Wednesday to explain the academic reasoning behind his distaste for people from rural America, calling those who live in rural areas “bad people who have made bad life decisions.” ...

He doesn't look old enough to vote. And judging by his stupidity, he shouldn't.

We are rural by choice. It is our dream home. We love it here because it is beautiful and because being so far in the boonies pretty much keeps idiots like this from ever crossing my path in real life.

Does this fool not understand that many rural areas are needed to produce the food his dumb arse eats?

Very interesting. Very much like many on the OT say about a certain segment of the population.

He looks like the kind of boy who is scared of spending the night “outside of the city” without his 135 lb partner and their matching rubber bananas.

When not philosophizing, he likes to go hiking and keep up a coding hobby.

I have to imagine urban areas have much higher crime rates. Are those not bad people as well? Dumb. Rural Americans may be “ignorant” in the sense that they aren’t necessarily exposed to many things different from their way of life (but in 2019 this wanes and wanes every year since the advent of the internet) but these are the heartland of America. They’re the ones pumping resources out to the urban areas so they can continue to live in urban areas and not harvesting their own resources.

I'd just as soon hammer my nuts with a hammer than live in town. frick people. I need space to walk out on my back porch and leak on my grass, shoot my gun, shoot my bow, move dirt with my tractor, etc.

frick a city slicker.
