Elvis statue decanter in the dining room was grandma's most valuable item kind of trashy.

I like the Highwaymen version better than the George Jones version.

Allowing your kid to dip not to mention buying dip for them at 11 was trashy as hell no matter what the year. Sure it wasn’t nearly as trashy as it is now a days, but that doesn’t make it right either.

Definitely the trashiest thing I’ve read today. Then again, it’s still only noon so plenty of today left.

My dad used to stick me in the crawl space of his El Camino for the 45 min drive from NOLA to Biloxi when i was around 5 yrs old.. forget seatbelts, there was barely room to move back there.. in the event of an accident, i was fricked.. and he’d definitely crack open a couple of tallboys along the way.

s? Big lump on your face? Having to get 20% of your jaw removed in a few years because of oral cancer? And your parents started you down this path?

hmm, I would direct you to the thread on the Ethiopian father who decapitated his wife, slashed his daughter's throat, then hung himself.
this will seem like fresh towels compared to that knee-slapper.

Correct, it was SKOAL, Copenhagen, or Happy Days at that time outside of leaf or plug tobacco.

I mean wasn't all parents of kids growing up in the late 70's and 80's Trashy?
1. I can't remember a time my dad didn't drink and drive as a kid.
2. Smoke in the house
3. We rode in the back of trucks everywhere while they drank and drove. Even in lawn chairs at times.
4. Parents would go out with other couples and leave all the kids alone at one house with a 13 year old in charge. What could go wrong?
5. Vacation at Jellystone or Grand Isle in a tent.
6. In cars we never had seatbelts on and would even get on the back window area of the Oldsmobile.
Hey, I still love both of them and thank them for all they did for me...

Tobacco wasn't as taboo back then as it is now. My dad used to get me to drive to the convenience store down the street and get him beer and a roll of Copenhagen when I was like 12 or 13
