do new cars still come with CD players?

the newest car we own is a toyota from 2014 and it still has a freaking CD player

i honestly think the last time i used a CD player in a vehicle was like 2001 when i swapped my 4runner CD player for a pioneer head unit that could play MP3 CDs.
i don't even know where my CD collection is.

My 2017 has one. I've never used it though.

My wife's 2019 Audi has one. We didn't find out until about a month after getting it. It's hidden in the glove box. Kind of a waste really.

My 2018 Tahoe has a single disk player but you barely notice. It’s just an unlabeled slit in the control panel between the touch screen and the climate control. Didn’t realize it was there until I looked for it. Started traveling a lot for my new business and been doing audio books on CD. Use the hell out of it.

I honestly haven't even looked at it. She did a little features/whatever telephone conference with the dealership a few weeks after getting the car and they told her about it. I googled it at the time and saw other people talking about it so I assumed she was relaying it accurately, but it does seem strange. I'll check it out this weekend

Mine doesn't, but I wish it did. I always had CDs in my car up until I had to get rid of my old 2007 this year. It's great for long drives or when there's just nothing on the radio. I preferred it over hooking up my phone or whatever.

I have an '18 Camry and '19 Expo and neither have one and Come to think of it the newer body style Suburban i owned before I thought had one but was in a really weird location..
