Mostly all the time now. The older I get the less I care about things.

I used to be indifferent about everything but I worked hard to change so now I'm just apathetic.

My first job out of college was miserable. One day I got chewed out by my boss for something he screwed up, so when I left for lunch I just never came back. Left him with a huge project that I knew he had no time to finish in time.

Worst boss I ever had, and 20 years later I still don't feel an ounce of guilt over it. I hope he got fired over it.

I once had a girl friend tell me she thought I loved my dog more than her. I told her she was probably right. Never saw her again. Good Riddance !

When I was 14, I took my Dad’s State Trooper car for a joy ride.

Errantly got on the road that passed right by HQ and couldn’t turn off in time, so I put on his hat as camo and drove slowly by.

I never shared this with him.

Probably when I was 19, sold just about everything I owned and went to Australia for five years.

Damn, that was good times.

When I was in undergrad, I worked at the intramural fields. Every August, we had to paint the lines for eight flag football fields. It was huge pain in the arse doing the measuring and whatnot.

After working there a couple years, I had developed a pretty laissez-faire attitude about everything. So I stopped being so precise with the measuring and just started eye-balling it.

After we'd finished one field, we stepped back and realized that it was clearly shaped like a trapezoid. One of my younger co-workers asked if we should re-paint it. Being the senior person on staff, I just said "meh, close enough."

I once had a friend/roommate who had a 1995 Monte Carlo. It was the biggest piece of shite car I think I've ever been associated with. It had been in the shop twice for around 6 weeks with only a couple days between them. He got it back "good to go" and paid the mechanic. We were on our way to North Carolina when it broke down again on a bridge in/around Chattanooga at 2 AM.
He didn't say a word to me. He just got out and grabbed his bag and a few tools. He took the tag off, put it in his bag, and wrote a note that read, "If you can fix it, you can have it. The title is in the glove box and the key is under the mat". He slipped the note under the wipers and started walking with me watching from the passenger seat.
That was a guy who didn't give one single frick about anything at that moment.
