See the video of Saban. He is setting the table. Tua will not play, and we win easy.

That link is to the ESPN CFB homepage.

The only thing I learned is that Indiana has a QB named Penix.

I honestly got that vibe from his interview a few days ago, too. He interviews very differently when he’s politicing and it’s pretty clear if you listen to him closely that he’s nowhere near confident about this game. That’s not to say that he feels they’ll lose, but he’s definitely nervous enough to be in damage control mode just in case

ETA: not that I think that ^ has anything to do with Tua. I think he’ll end up playing at ~80%

Now the 5th thread you've started on this in two weeks. You are going to look like quite the dumbass if he plays.

Have you never listened to Saban at a presser before? That’s all coach speak. He’s 100 percent playing; how healthy he actually is, will be the only question. Tua at 80 percent is still better than most QBs.

Saban has said literally word for word the exact same thing everyday since last Wednesday. This isn't new news and you should feel like an a-hole for posting it.

The expectation, according to sources, is Tua Tagovailoa will play against LSU on Saturday and that he’ll likely look healthier and less limited than what most outsiders are probably expecting. Rehab and recovery have gone very well for Tagovailoa, who is now 16 days removed from undergoing surgery to repair the high-ankle sprain he suffered against Tennes

As usual, you are wrong.

I found the video OP was referencing, and in fairness to OP, it doesn’t appear you can link the video directly.

Saban did sound like Tua won’t play if you take his comments at face value.

That said, if Tua doesn’t play, then his surgery was basically for nothing. I’d be surprised if he isn’t starting and so doped up he can’t feel a thing.

I’ll bet you a quarter Tua is at least 90% and will be playing balls out Saturday.

If he plays, he plays, if he don’t, that is one of the dangers of being a scrambling quarterback. His dazzling moves have made quite a few first downs. An elusive quarterback gets hit.

We didn't win easily versus Auburn in TS who started a freshman qb. We will beat alabama, but it will not be easy no matter who plays qb for them.

I think Saban is being 100% honest.

They have set a plan for Tua to play. That plan does require some projection and assumptions. And, at the end of the day, if Tua doesn't have a setback, they are going to do everything (aka, shoot that ankle up) to have him ready for the game.

It's exactly what any other good coach would do.
