It will take a businessman to solve this problem. Not politicians playing games to be able to get re-elected and keep their cushy seat.
How long before he gets labeled a bigot for suggesting fatties eat less sugar and exercise more?

Mark is a great businessman but if he can actually come up with some reasonable answers to health care I will listen but we will see. He has completely turned over the Mavs to his new CEO Cynthia Marshall after the "Metoo" Issues with his former CEO & Sales staff. Former "Diversity" Head of AT&T. Cal Berkey Grad. She has eliminated the Maverick Dancers due to PC reasons. This is the Dallas Mavericks we are talking about. In Texas. Welcome to your new America. Thanks Mark.

This is the way that mark cubans enters the 2024 race IMO.
He’s going to advertise himself as Trump only younger / fresher ideas / more compassionate
Mark Cuban is better positioned than anyone to be the strongest candidate in 2024 if he wants it

We should take Medicaid and Medicare to a subscription based pricing model and give subscribers $x to subscribe to health services and let them shop for competing plans. They can have any money they save. Making shoppers out of all these people will drive down cost.
And nobody will take it, because we have little control over our costs. Especially when the two you name are two of the biggest pain in the arse, lowest reimbursing insurances and patients.
Deregulation. Too many regulations and bad regulations lead to higher fixed costs, higher administrative costs, and more it'll take for the provider to put up with the bullshite. You have to be in healthcare to really understand how fricked up it is. Mark Cuban can't fix it. The problems cannot be fixed under the current rules. When hospitals, chain pharmacies and other large groups are given built in advantages that costs the consumer more and pads their profits WHILE elimination competition...shite can't get fixed. Let me do my thing. Get rid of all the Stark bullshite. Only then can costs come down.

No amount of money will help you understand healthcare. It is so screwed up that being a billionaire doesn't change the fact that he probably couldn't tell you whats on his EOB. Valiant effort but a rookie ain't fixing healthcare.
hes been studying it for years and has a team of people helping him

Doesn't Cuban have a higher net worth despite being younger and not having his dad's money to get him started?

What does that have to do with healthcare?
Cuban made none of his money in healthcare.
Regarding your Cuban-Trump innuendo, Trump is POTUS. Cuban is not. All for good reason.
Again, Mark Cuban has made ridiculous assertions about Trump. He knows less about healthcare than he knows about Trump.

Cuban is the billionaire who claimed that the stock market would crash if Trump became president. How is that prediction working out for you Mark?

Group insurance has always been the problem with our healthcare system
You might have a point. Lowball premiums to large groups of people to get their business and then turn around and offer higher rates to individuals to make up the lesser profits off group insurees.
There's something wrong with that. A loaf of the same bread should be the same cost for everybody.

Mark Cuban is an idiot, his jealousy of Trump moved him into batshit crazy Leftville and he is eat up with TDS...
He's not following MAGA, we won't support the clown

This is the exact reason why insurance companies need to be allowed to establish risk pools of insureds for health coverage. We allow all other types of insurances to setup risk pools, but not health.
We also need to look at costs on the front end instead of just at the insurance level.

As the dude below said, this is true leadership skill.
the guys in here talking about hurt feelings likely haven't done anything in their lives to where they actually have to manage a lot of people or chaos.
they're likely working in cucked industries full of safe spaces. I see this all the time with tradcons
Having command presence is incredibly important in leadership. This was understood even just a few years back before everyone turned into a snowflake.
There are also situations where even if you wanted to be coddling to everyone's sensibilities, you have too much shite going down to be bothered with it.
Cuban knows more than all of you combined but you're just worried about your trump feelings getting hurt. pathetic

The litigiousness of the populace would frick up whatever he’s looking to do

because we have little control over our costs
How do you figure that?
Going to subscription based pricing makes it MUCH easier to shop and compare services offered.
The biggest problem in health care is that the biggest buyer of health care--the federal government--is a very poor shopper.
I say we give $X per month to medicare folks and tell them to look for subscription based health plans, compare them, buy the one that fits their needs the best and keep any savings.
Hospitals, for example, would need to offer a plan for hospital care where customers paid $X per month for use of the hospital. There would be no charges for stays and long bills for bed pans ect. A subscriber would pay $100 per month or something and when they needed to go to the hospital they would have a room. This will make shoppers out of all of us and would provide health care providers with predictable streams of income to cover their fixed cost.
It would work.
Making 150 million people shoppers will push cost down.

I find it ironic that we subsidize the worlds healthcare and socialists in this country still complain our costs are too high. They cannot grasp their chief complaint of US health care is the inevitable result of that which they drone on and on in favor of, socialism.

If us citizens on average would lose 20lbs through diet/exercise/lifestyle change health care costs would probably drop in half
