Often times just watching a video. Also thinking back on old times.
Me too man! I hear songs or see videos from growing up and singing away at them like they were hits just yesterday then realize things have changed and time has flown by. It's kind of a crossroads age really having these feelings. I think about my Mom who passed away a couple of years ago with leukemia and other relatives as they thin out in ranks...makes me sad when those memories drift my way and THEN the biggest emotional trip wire of all is my precious 9 year old daughter. It seems like she was born yesterday and she has been through so much in her life and yet has been such a trooper. Play me a song or get me going on anything which talks about little girls/daughters and/or Daddies, just opens the flood gates.

Wtf is wrong with me
Not a damned thing...you're human and very well might have had some circumstances in life's journey to add heat to the situation.
No shame in admitting your humanity bro!

Get on Xanax and Oxy like normal old people.

You're on a collision course with an impending mid-life crisis. Don't fight the urges. Go spend your retirement money recklessly. Instant gratification is the key.

Mine will be a teenager in a few weeks. Can't say I'm really looking forward to it

Maybe depression, but if you haven't struggled with it before, it probably could be helped with some counseling.
Sometimes you have to rotate and balance your tiredla for you truck to drive smoothly. Brain can be the same way.

Thank you man. I too have a daughter that I cherish above all. She is a sophomore in High school. I'm certain she has wrecked my masculinity but at the same time I will go to prison at the drop of the hat for her.

You people are sad. Everyday above ground is a good day. Quit fricking crying and live.

Dang.
I'm 45 and have had the kind of breakdowns you're talking about, but it hasn't been that often.
Nostalgia is good, but it can be a bitch knowing there's nothing we can do to get back there.
One thing I did that helped was to learn about Stoicism. I'm not religious about it, but it 100% helped me emotionally.
