I just got a fundraising letter from the LSU Foundation promoting the LSU Office of Diversity. I understand reasonable efforts to diversity the LSU campus, but the Office of Diversity at LSU promotes discrimination in its actions under the guise of being in favor of "diversity." There is not a standard that the LSU Office of Diversity will set aside to promote its diversity message. Perhaps LSU alums should not contribute until the university provides more balance in how it manages diversity?

Diversity of thought is important

Diversity of race, gender, religion is not important.

I guess LSU Office of Special Treatment for Whiny People doesn't roll of the tongue as well.

Come on people, it has been 55 years since the Civil Rights Act passed. How much longer is that excuse going to hold up?

No where is it LSU policy to reject white applicants in favor of minorities.

The office of diversity essentially ensures there are organized activities and interests for students of color. It also assists LSU in recruiting/marketing efforts within minority regions/schools.

these efforts have paid off as they were one component of a multifaceted effort that lead to the largest and highest performing freshman class in LSU history

Times have changed for LSU. They need higher enrollment numbers to fund their operations. The enrollment numbers of in-state white students are basically topped off, growth could only come from increasing out of state students, and in-state minority students.

Diversity really just means less white people to them.

The word diversity should come with a trigger warning.

No matter the context or applicable rules, some people will need Xanax or Natural Light to handle hearing or seeing it.

I'm giving up on LSU.

It makes more sense to go to Alabama or Georgia where the scholarships are good.

I will never donate a damn thing to LSU until they get rid of this racist joke of a department.

And no, I don't consider my Tradition Fee to be a donation. It's just the another price you pay for tickets.

We are already blocking contributions until F King is gone. They ditched Alleva, which was nice.

Thanks for bringing this up because it made me go look at Mississippi State and they have The Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Which makes no sense as we have the highest percentage of AA students in the SEC.

If I knew I could log in and no one would have any way of finding out who I was, I would love to share some stories about "diversity" at LSU and what they REALLY mean by it.

I have no issue with naturally occurring diversity.

Forced diversity is when the shite hits the fan. Because forced diversity always includes lowered standards and majority exclusion.
