He is way too young to have lost a step. He should be even better now than he was his rookie year, but he's regressed terribly.

While I agree he hasn't been as good as his crazy successful rookie year, it is really hard to know what defense we are running and who/where he is expecting help. I am sure there have been WRs catching the ball that falls squarely on Lattimore's shoulders, but I think it is hard to tell if he is responsible without knowing the scheme on each play. Honestly, I think Marcus Williams has been a big part of what has been ailing our defense. I was a big fan of his, but he doesn't look like he has made much progression in his development and there have been a few replays of him jumping the under routes and leaving the top wide open.

I don't know if he is just slower than every receiver ever, if he is out of position, if he does not react fast enough, or if the scheme just sucks.

Something has to change.

We could have easily traded up one spot with the Bills and grabbed Mahomes ... If Payton hadn't drooled over him, he probably would have dropped

Then maybe we don’t have Kamara. Saying they could have easily done it is nonsense

The person who said he lost a step kind of has a point. I don’t know how or why but that does seem to be the case. One of his biggest strengths was his recovery speed if you get a step or 2 on him. He doesn’t seem to have that right now.

If most of you would go back and actually watch the game, most of those yards came from one play to cooks, during which Marcus Williams did not provide deep support.

Lattimore is still a top corner

I cannot for the life of me comprehend all these deep balls and our safeties are not over the top.

Im at the point where it has to be scheme. Can't be a player this many times.

Apple and Lattimore needed to be cut. I don't know who is worse?

Agreed watching his college tape looks completely different from his nfl tape just doesn’t have nearly the same burst and speed he had as a rookie

Pains me more and more that Sean Payton said we would’ve taken mahomes over Lattimore what could’ve been

Everyone talks about Mahomes but Deshaun Watson and Tredavious White went behind Lattimore as well.... I think we would take both those right now...

You are aware that the Chiefs traded up to the spot ahead of us to draft Mahomes, right?

Also, if any team should be kicking their draft of 2017 it should be Chicago -- who not only selected Mitch Trubisky ahead of Mahomes, but actually traded up to do so.

Lattimore pick made sense, though seeing Watson go right after -- under the current circumstances does make you do a "what if".
