Can some Texas posters give me a review of League City?

Had a random possible job offer come up at lunch and haven't spent much time in the area southeast of Houston.

You would probably want to live in the Kermah or Seabrook area.
It may have changed now, but about 5-6 years ago the city council was a bunch of carpetbaggers who thought they were living in the NE and you had to hire former councilmen as consultants if you wanted to get anything approved.

It’s close to NASA and Kemah, which has a marina and is a good place to go boating, if that’s your thing.
I’m not sure if the schools are good, but it’s very close to Friendswood and they have top notch public schools. Otherwise it’s pretty much your standard good Houston suburb. Huge homes for sale for 300-400K, some flooding potential, and an hour to get downtown every morning. Even worse if you are trying to get to the Galleria or Greenway Plaza.

My brother in law lives there. Decent place to live but nothing special. Not much culture(the good kind). Tons of strip malls, chain restaurants and car dealerships. Halfway between Galveston and Houston so you can find things to do. Road construction somewhere 24/7 365. Two tics above meh.
Also there is a Top Golf real close and close to water if you are into boating

Nice safe area, good spot in between Galveston and downtown Houston. A lot of families though.

Personally I love the area and was scheduled to move there before FIL died. Perfect for a family.
Cheap housing
No real crime
Great schools
Tons of upper middle class
Great golf
Close to Galveston and kemah
Close to great fishing
Tons of restaurants
Close enough to the city
Traffic can get bad
cookie cutter
Typical suburb
Personally I loved the south end in the hidden lakes and Mar Bella area. shite ton to do, great place to live if you have family. Most will shite on it because it doesn't have "culture" and is "soul less" which is all fricking stupid.
Be careful though a lot of new houses had mold and are having to be gutted and redone.

I used to live in Nassau Bay and recommend that neighborhood. You could be in League City in 15 minutes if that’s where your work is.

I lived in that area a while back.
League City's not bad, at all. But I think Friendswood is a nicer suburb.
Seabrook, Kemah, and Nassau Bay have some really nice neighborhoods on Clear Lake.
