Best morning games:
Ole Miss/Memphis
Ohio State/FAU

Best afternoon games:
Alabama/Duke
UNC/South Carolina
Northwestern/Stanford
VTech/Boston College

Best night games:
Auburn/Oregon
Boise State/FSU
USC/Fresno State

We’ve gotten spoiled from the slew of showcase week 1 matchups the last several years. This lineup seems very weak in comparison.

At least Auburn @ Oregon should be lit

True but we got miami/Florida in week 0 and lsu/Texas and a&m/Clemson in week 2 when those are normally dead weeks

I’m excited about that lineup.

Week one is often like this actually.

The issue is really the Sunday and Monday night games aren’t marquee teams.

Monday night ND/Lville isn’t Texas ND or OSU/VT. Sunday is OU/Houston last year LSU/Miami was Sunday and FSU VT was Monday. All 4 of those teams started ranked

I guess at least we get a fun Week 0 matchup this year with UF/Miami instead of Colorado State / Hawaii.

It’s not good but there’s actually a good game week 0 and for maybe the first time ever week 2 is really really good.

I’ll take the trade off tbh.

Also, I feel like 90% of the time these high ranked matchups end up sucking and the mid tier games are better and more fun.

At least week two is much more promising.

Cincinnati @ Ohio State
West Virginia @ Missouri
Vanderbilt @ Purdue
Nebraska @ Colorado
Texas A&M @ Clemson
BYU @ Tennessee
LSU @ Texas
Arkansas @ Ole Miss
Miami & North Carolina
Cal @ Washington
Stanford @ USC

So did College Gameday pick the USC game and plan to do the broadcast at Disneyland?

i've gotten to the point in life where if you just give me one good or appealing in 2 of the 3 timeslots, then I'm happy. I used to want to flip channels all day, now I just want to settle in and watch one game at a time lol.

Records don't matter. It's about TV appeal first and butts in seats 2nd. Duke has no TV appeal regardless of what their short term W/L record is. I can see the appeal for Bama. I can see the appeal for Duke. I cannot see the appeal for the Chick Fil A Bowl committee or ESPN.

This year, we had Michigan scheduled (18 and 19) until they backed out.

I'm excited that I don't have to worry about watching A&M that saturday. I can just relax and watch everybody else.
