Also allows teams to get into a groove and play less sloppy for Week 2. This years week 2 slate is looking great especially in comparison to previous years.

Do you guys just make stuff up or forget?

In 2017, we got Clemson/Auburn ND/UGA and OSU/OU in week 2

Last year they had a big push to make week 1 so good, and that then compromised week 2 and 3 a bit. Usually when you look back, there are a couple really good OOC games every week of the season

These OOC games are being spread out more throughout the first four weeks, which I think is better than having 5 different big game on at the same time during week 1.
Agreed I will watch week one just because....

Weeks two through 4 have some pretty decent games...............

FIFY. You worded that as if to say Michigan was scared of Arkansas. That is not the case.

Oregon-Auburn and the impending AU meltdown and Gus bash outweighs the rest of the games. Go Ducks!

It is a little disappointing and this is the second year in a row in which the week 1 schedule isn't as strong as it has been in the past, but then I thought about it.

Since CFB doesn't have pre-season, I'd like to see all power 5 teams play one of their cupcake teams in week 1.

At that point we are all just ready to see some CFB so there is some excitement going into it. It allows teams to get things together before having to go into a big match up.. And that way.. each team is more likely to put a better version of their team than they would in week 1.

Alabama/Duke

this is the turd in the punch bowl. A game that should be on the SEC network at 11 am is being billed as a premier matchup.

True but we got miami/Florida in week 0 and lsu/Texas and a&m/Clemson in week 2 when those are normally dead weeks

My man!

Fwiw
nw vs stanford will be on my tv.

Then. Aubie vs the oregon qb should be interesting.

I will get out in a.m. So this schedule is great for me.

The funny thing is we scheduled a game @ Notre Dame for 2020 not long after lol. We have that one next year and then Texas in 2021. Pretty sure that year we also play @ LSU, @ Alabama and @ Georgia.

Your fans will love that trip. I don't think Arkansas will travel there like Georgia did, but I expect y'all to take a fair amount of people up there.

A lot of Georgia fans made a weekend out of it with a game in Wrigley on Friday and the Falcons at Bears on Sunday. Would have been a dream sports weekend if I was in a better financial place at the time.
