A 5K in 29 min?

You’re slow.

I would hope you can run a 5k in 29 minutes drunk. That’s not even a decent time.

Good luck tomorrow!

I'm estimating 33:30 for your time.

Son of a bitch. You're lucky I have to work in the morning. I live 2.5 miles from Sloss. I definitely would have signed up to watch this shite.

Ssubba, you've got this!

Mind your pace for the first 2 miles, then stride it out the last mile.
Make sure you keep breathing fully and don't start taking short gasping breaths!

Just run as fast as you can in the beginning, that way you can get a head start and relax the rest of the race.

Run as fast as you can, so you are a good 90 seconds ahead of her. Dip out, go grab a beer. At the 27 min mark, start running around in circles near the finish line, do some pushups, then finish at 28:45...wait for her with a water in hand to give to her. Hug her and talk about how tough it was.

Yo.
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy.
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti.
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready.
To drop bombs.

For all the advice given...i think we deserve a neck down, pre-race, picture of her with you standing next to her in your outfit for verification purposes. Timestamp your photos of start and finish line too

Under 40 mins. Honestly, that’s impressive having never ran anything before.

Dudes bib was 240 and he finished in 240th place.

I would tell the girl that you don’t run 5k’s for time anymore, but to get as close to finishing your bib number in overall place! Can’t do any better!

Paid $40 for the race, finished in 40 mins. He was one of the top value finishers at $1 per min. Imagine, your girl only got $.75 per min

She ran this same 5k last year and finished in 31 minutes.

If this is true, someone should be able to find who she is at least.

If you’re in good shape you should be able to do it. I ran a 20:08 6 years ago when I was 50, and I had only started training about two months earlier. I’ve always been a fairly good runner, though.
