It’s like you pulled all of these words right out of my head. I’m not even that into the show in general. Caught a couple minutes of the show once and now just put it on sometimes to see if I’ll catch a glimpse of that thing. I mean that’s about as good an arse can look in a pantsuit. Incredibly sexy.

I only know I thought from the get go he would never really put Shiv in charge, but that's a great point I hadn't thought about.
Also, what was her thinking when she said she was going to be the successor at dinner? It was the only way to save the acquisition, or was she just getting pissed that her dad wouldn't tell anyone it was her?

I think she saw it as a way to get his respect. Make a bold move and see how it works. Otherwise she will be out biding her time doing 6 months in Tokyo, 12 months in London, 6 months with Jerri, etc. while Logan makes her jump through hoops until he dies.
It backfired on her but not all that much because this was mostly a plan to get her to stop working with Gil Eavis aka Younger Bernie Sanders.

I've noticed for some time that more and more shows are producing characters with zero redeeming qualities. And I don't mean one or two characters without value but the entirety of the character list where you have no one to root for.
