What is ESPN+? Basically everything you would have with ESPN through a cable company but in streaming?

are you crazy? if you were CEO of Disney, would you let that fly for $12.99 a month?

I do not have Hulu. Can you get it without the ads?

RIP Netflix

They shouldn't get too cocky yet. We all know this is an introductory price, not a long term one. Netflix has years of mastering its digital platform to be user friendly. We have no idea what Disney's will look like. They have the content bell, but they've fumbled the digital thing before. I don't think people will be canceling Netflix for a sight-unseen Disney app.

I get free Hulu through Spotify, so this really doesnt do anything for me. Ill end up getting the Disney but not the bundle, so Im not going to save anything.

The movies don't have ads, but their movie selection is way worse than Netflix.

Disney owns the entire 20th Century Fox library plus a few of their own smaller studios. I'm guessing their movie lineup is about to get a big upgrade. If Disney wants to do R rated originals, like Deadpool or X-Force, they will likely end up on hulu as well.

Ad free Hulu is like $7 more a month than the regular version.

If you want soccer and MMA, sure.

You aren’t getting anything worthwhile from the big 3 sports

Why is Disney playing around? They could drop the hammer on both the live tv streaming services and standalone streaming services like Netflix and prime all in one swoop

I wish I would've known about the Hulu/Spotify bundle. I've got Spotify premium. Luckily I've got a few months left of Hulu for .99 cents

If you like to watch soccer, ESPN+ is becoming borderline mandatory. Many relatively important matches are migrating there and don't show any signs of slowing.

That's potentially a netflix killer. Until they raise the price after a year or so.

It’s a compelling price to pick up another big source of original and second run shows. It’s not going to make me dump $15 a month Netflix, it’s going to make me dump $65 a month PlayStation Vue as I watch less and less live programming from traditional networks. I’ll just need to find the cheapest way to watch the Pelicans.

Read an article not long ago about how we could see some consolidation in that industry.

Like a conglomerate like Disney or Viacom buying Hulu or one of the streaming services.

Disney already owns hulu, or at least a majority stake in it.

Maybe it was more of “combining services”

The customer is going to get overwhelmed very soon

I think they are up to like a 75-90% holding in Hulu thanks to the Fox merger.
