Why do people comparing the Bonds to Rose situations? They are nothing alike. Bonds was a player who took PEDS. If he ever got caught, he would have been suspended something like 50 games.

Rose was a manager fixing games. He was caught and got banned for life. He has admitted it and that is the punishment. All of his stuff is in he Hall. So his memory isn't banned. Just him.

So how are those two comparable?

Bonds and Rose should be in.. It’s the hall of fame, and they were the most famous players in their era.

Steroids weren’t banned during Bonds era either.

From age 35-39 he had his most home runs a season, outside one year in 1993. Kind of unheard of to have your best home run years that late in life. It was an insult to the game and to take down one of baseballs most loved records obviously on roids put him in this situation. Should have stayed clean and got in the right way. There are players who made it to the hall in that era that was not linked to steroids.

Actually same difference. Both cheated. Rose didn’t take shite to improve his play , Bonds did . Off topic ,Rose not in because of betting on games but had better skills then Bonds. I don’t think either deserve to get in HOF because there are rules that need to be followed. But skill wish Rose better player ,just saying. Also Hank had all those Home Runs without the juice . I find that to be incredible.

Totally agree. At 35 , not just hitting HRs but hitting ball completely out the party. Get real, he didn’t have that skill set before he blew up. Was he great, damm straight . But was he juiced ,hell yes.

Ok, you could pick one player from Hank, Pete and Barry before all the Roids , to start a franchise. Who you pick? We will see where you going with this from this simple answer

So he hit 650 or so home runs prior to it being tested for. Yeah not the type of numbers required to get into the HOF.

Let’s not pretend that he is being kept out of the HOF because of steroids. It’s because he was a dick to reporters, who just so happened to be dickheads to him too.

It will become obvious when Andy Petit and David Ortiz both get into the HOF.

Every player in every era who flat out dominated the game or was the best player at his position for anything greater than a 5 year stretch should get looked at. The playing field was even.

PEDs have always been a part of the game. Whether it was steroids or amphetamines. It’s been around the game for 50+ years.

The baseball Hall of Fame has managed to make itself completely worthless by not inducting people who are no-brainers... the NFL was going down the same path by holding TO out luckily the players current and past said enough was enough... if you don't think Bonds a Hall of Famer nobody is...

McGwire should get in on being one of the most prolific HR hitters of all time and making 12 ASG.

Pudge getting in the Hall while Bonds is still out is a fricking joke. Canseco admitted to helping Pudge juice

Should Bonds be in? Yeah probably. Again if he retired after the 99 season, he’s inner circle without a doubt. But he went all high school girl with McGwire and Sosa, hit the juice, so he can wait. Is it petty? Yes. But he is the one who chose to juice when his legacy was set so he has no one to blame but himself.
