Barry Bonds not being in the HOF is absurd.

Jeff Bagwell getting in and Barry being locked out for performance enhancing drugs use is just complete travesty. This is one time when I would like the race card to be played. I don’t believe it’s actually the reason. But the Baseball HOF has no consistency and is a sham until Barry makes it in.

They could cancel out all of bonds years after 30 and he still has a strong case.

Barry Bonds is not in the Hall of Fame because of his ego and hatred for all the press coverage Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa got during their legendary (now somewhat infamous) home run race in 1998.
Had he just let it lie and continued to play as he had been playing since his rookie season, he'd be in the Hall of Fame right now. He got greedy, however, and decided to juice so he could own those home run records for himself. He got caught and now must live with the consequences.

Just like PeteRose, Barry not being in the HOF makes him even bigger than the HOF and keeps him in conversations. Barry Bonds is the greatest player of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s.
Mike Trout is on the same level as Bonds. No one questions if Mike Trout is a HOF lock.

I'm a lifelong Giants fan, and Barry will always be my favorite player. Did he juice? Yes, of course he did. So did most everyone else during that era. He saw bums like McGwire and Sosa getting all the love and said "frick it, I'm gonna do it, too, and show them how a real fricking ballplayer does it."
Baseball was reeling after the '94 strike, and the longball brought it back. The pitchers decided they had to do steroids, as well. Barry said "Nah, frick this. I'm not gonna let four-eyed Eric Gagne strike me out, I'm gonna juice too, then I'm gonna shove my dangly cross earring up his arse and send his 101 mph heater over the fence."

It has more to do with how big of an a-hole he was. Bagwell wasn't hated by the voters like Bonds is. There are plenty of guys in the Hall that have asterisks by their stats.

Yeah...he probably should have stayed clean while the majority of marginal players around him used PEDs to gain a competitive advantage.

Bonds is a cheater. And shouldnt even be recognized as a mlb player. Everything he did is irrelevant

he should have accepted aging.
He pulled a hammy going for 40 40.
His dad had a 39 40 or 40 39.
He healed using peds. Probably legit.

I agree but being from Mobile and having a hang up out our hometown hero Hank Aaron I do think that the HR record should be scrapped. I think he could have done that without steroids but he forfeited that at least. He’s a surefire HOF though without it. He had 3 MVPS before 30 years old and is without a doubt one of the greatest of all time.

Give me a break. Canseco said he personally injected Pudge Rodriguez with steroids many times and nobody cared. In fact, Pudge got in on the first ballot.
