I dont know what happens after Zion but I would love the projection someone posted here yesterday where we go grab the following if picks arent traded:
Zion @ #1
Garland @ #4
Grant Williams @ #39
Tacko Fall @ #57
Williams and Fall should not be available at those picks so if they are that'd be insane value.

Demps was known as Dealing Dell because he was reportedly always working the phones. Yet he was never able to get the traction Griffin has gotten this week. I'm sure part of that is Griff, but this is what it feels like to have assets that everybody wants. There are rumors that you're going to deal with everybody which drives up the prices even more. I'm not going to say we don't deserve this, because we have suffered mightily at the hands of the Basketball Gods in the past, but being more excited than at any point during the AD era shouldn't happen so soon after the AD era ended.

Boston has offered center Aron Baynes -- $5.4M expiring contract -- into salary cap space elsewhere, league sources tell ESPN. Without Kyrie Irving and Al Horford on the books, moving Baynes without taking back salary could get the Celtics to $23M in space.

Operating from a point of strength...feels awesome
With some one competent at the helm.

Who's AD?

I think it means athletic director.

Unless Baynes helps us, I don’t see a reason to help Boston out.
Maybe they can package a pick with him.
Baynes could be decent depth off the bench but he isn’t a starter, he doesn’t help us offensively, and he would eat into our space to make other deals.

Via crewz on twitter...
If Boston is calling me about 4, the deal I would be angling for is 4, Solo, and Moore for Hayward, 14, 22, and Memphis pick. Celtics now have Garland, Tatum, Brown and a bunch of space/flexibility.
Meanwhile, Griff gets his vet plus two lotto tickets this year and potentially a very good future pick
And they wanna dump Baynes? Sure I will take him too

Trade scuttle: The Hawks and Cavs are discussing a trade that sends picks #8 and 10 to Cleveland. It’s unclear what Atlanta would get in return.

So the best thing about that trade is the Memphis pick. Idk bout that.

Who's that from? I would assume Atlanta gets the 5 here...

Yeah, I’m not super high on trading back. There’s a reason all these teams are interested in moving up.

Some guy that would rather sell potato chips than be a champion.

My guess is the 5 plus stripping the protections off Cleveland’s 2020 pick, which is currently slated to become 2 future seconds because it will land in the lottery and not convey.

I’ll say a top 5 of Ball, Jrue, Hayward, Ingram, and Zion would be fun to watch assuming Hayward is close to his pre-injury self.
Posted on 6/20/19 at 8:11 am to 50_Tiger
Yeah, Hayward’s appeal lessens when you realize you have to pay Ingram after this season, meaning $50m or more per season for two injury cases.
