Call your shot- what will the pelicans do? Draft a player-name them or trade-what will the trade be:

I say: #4 & Solo to Indiana for Turner & #18.

****Welcome to Pelican Nation #1-Zion*****

We don't need to dump Solo. That just weakens what we get back

Man up and draft BPA: Darrius Garland. Raw talent > need.

Think we will try to trade the pick but won’t be able to get a deal done.

Torn between whether we go Culver or Garland. Prefer Garland though.

Woj mentioned us possibly dumping Solo's contract on Atlanta as incentive to move back. Said some 2nd rounders could also be in the mix

Reports are we haven’t spoken or worked out Culver and have not worked out Hunter.

Unless they were done in secret, that takes them off the table.

We have worked out several players expect to go mid first round so all signs point to us dealing the pick.

See the last post from yesterday's league rumor thread...from spears.

(Secret workout-KZ Okpala?-last minute)

He is expected to go 15 thru 19..

That why I say all signs are Turner in a trade...

We met with Culver at the combine. And we’ve been in contact with his agent since the AD trade supposedly.

@_andrew_lopez Jarrett Culver says he also has not spoken to the Pelicans - at least not personally.

No sauces, but I think we end up picking Zion with the #1 pick.

As for the 4th pick, I think we end up not trading it and while I would pick Garland, I think we take Culver.

Not necessarily. He said he didn't know if we had talked to his agent or anyone around him.

his contract is needed to match up with Turner's salary. the point of IND getting solo is to get turner's salary off the books

For example, Texas Tech 6-foot-6 wing Jarrett Culver – listed fifth on NBA.com’s consensus mock draft – sat down for an interview with New Orleans’ front office Wednesday, acknowledging the truism that strange things can occur on draft night, including trades.

“They’ve got Zion probably (with the No. 1 pick), and that’s probably how it’s going to turn out,” Culver said of the Pelicans, while speaking Thursday to the media at the draft combine. “But you never know what could happen. Anything can happen. You just have to be ready when your (name) is called.”

I could believe that, considering Atlanta currently owns like 6 picks including multiple 2nds.

That is after they traded one to Miami for a future 2nd, too.

People do realize that the majority of players picked will not have worked out or met with the team that picked them, right?

That really doesn’t mean much.
