Or Hayward returning to form, which we saw improvement every month of this year from him, and then we have an actual all star. I'd do that deal in a heartbeat and would love it.
It would also give you the opportunity to bring the 14 and 22 pick along slowly since you'd have a lot of depth at the wing for a change. and you get the Memphis pick!

If you get Hayward and the Memphis pick, he either returns to form, or you package both the following year for at least a quasi All Star level player when he's a big expiring. I like taking a bet on Hawyard way more than committing to Kevin Love.

For #6 or #7 maybe....

Everybody all hung up on injuries, so whyd he only play 22 games?

11 and a future pick. I think they should be willing to go there too. We always thought the AD Pels would have been an instant contender with Lillard instead of Rivers. Taking a swing on Garland might be the best way to save the KAT era in Minnesota.

Not BAD but a step down from where we think the quality players fall on the draft tiers or what we were hoping for as a player.

How are we going to find minutes for all these wings and guards? We going to play small ball most of the year?

Granted, all that talent is a good problem to have but we don’t have a center as of now.

I hope You are Right as it would be perfect for us. Wed still keep a pick while dropping solo and adding a young player that fits a need on a decent contract

Benching or trading Wiggins would probably help.

New Orleans boss David Griffin trying to get another first-rounder and also a player on a good contract for the No. 4 pick. Told there have been discussions between Pels No. 4 pick and Minnesota involving No. 11 and Robert Covington.

Talking heads on Get Up! also mentioned Saric this morning.

Going to be a very interesting day indeed. While it would be nice to get a young vet, Garland seems to have a lot of momentum at the moment.

This is how i'd rank my trades.

Boston - Hayward, 14, 22, Memphis pick. Draft Goga at 14, KZ/Langford/Porter Jr, who i'd all expect to not be there or get Ty Jerome(the next Van Vleet) at 22

Indiana - Turner and #18, draft Goga if available, although unlikely, or KZ/Langford/PorterJr and let them develop slowly behind Jrue/Ingram/Hayward

Minnesota - Covington and #11, assuming i can draft Hayes there. If Hayes isn't there, i don't do this trade.

I think Goga is a sleeper that can be a really good player. Will take time to develop but we've got time. Really like the idea of getting Ty Jerome later in the draft as well. If he can be a steal, then you get rid of Ball and get more future assets for him. I really want no part of Lonzo Ball and the off court shite his dad brings. It really sucks b/c he seems like a good kid, but i just can't put up wiht that dumbass.

I mean as a baseline offer I like it.

Framework could be 4 + Solo for 11 + Covington and a future protected pick

Covington is a prototypical 3 and D player on a good contract. It’s not my favorite possible deal but I don’t hate it.

while i like that deal, i think us sending Solo out negates the future protected 1st. It would have to be Moore, or us simply absorbing the contract if we want that future first.
I think i'd be fine with simply sending Solo out and not getting the 1st back, since i would assume it would be heavily protected, and keep some cap space available to sign a big man.

“They’ve got Zion probably (with the No. 1 pick), and that’s probably how it’s going to turn out,” Culver said of the Pelicans, while speaking Thursday to the media at the draft combine. “But you never know what could happen. Anything can happen. You just have to be ready when your (name) is called.”

Did he not realize we have 4, as well? He seems to think there is a chance he goes #1. Odd quote.

It was from the combine. They didn't have #4 at that point.

I only posted it to show that the Pels had a meeting with Culver. That it wasn't like they had no familiarity with him.
