Louisiana drivers are too stupid to figure out how to drive a roundabout. What makes anyone think that they could figure a diverging diamond intersection out?

Everyone saying this is showing how dumb they are tbh.

I don't have much real-world experience with them, but have had the opportunity to drive through a few. Seems to work really well and I'm a fan. Not much way to screw up driving through it if you can handle driving through a signalized intersection.

I think the real key is that this will never actually happen and after we spend half the allocated money to research the idea, it’ll be scrapped

They need the enhanced divirging diamond. It eliminates the need for traffic light buy making the diamonds elevated so they can pass under each other.

But how is it going to work if people can't even figure out how to use a more complicated intersection layout?

Will Dud and Debo be the official injury lawyers of the diverging diamond?

We have one of those crossovers here in Lexington. It does make the flow of a heavily trafficked road to much better.

The on/off ramp on 40 in Sevierville uses one of these.

Bruh you know even that is an issue for a sizeable percentage of the greater New Orleans population

The mouth breathers in this state can’t even navigate a roundabout. This will be a disaster.

Yes just driving straight and following the road in front of you is hard.

Good question - Chinese can build a new city replicated Manhattan in a year

There is a free right before the intersection, the same as current interstate ramps.

Still blocks the whole overpass, but i'm not here to argue something that is 5 years away. I hope we have flying cars by then.

thats what i was thinking when i looked at it. If you are trying to get rid of congestion it seems stupid to stop the flow of traffic.

They just finished building one of these in College Station. It's feels a little awkward the first time you see it, but it works.

The good ole baws and lady baws of La cannot handle it. They are worse drivers than some of the third world countries that I have lived in or visited. Not saying that it is a bad idea. I'm just saying that Louisiana drivers will f**k it up on a daily basis.

The causeway sign puts the wrecks up, it's like 47 or something for the year rt now. It's fricking straight.

There’s a diverging diamond at the Sevierville/Gatlinburg exit of I-40

G-maps link
TN-66, Kodak, TN 37764

It’s kinda annoying.
